"Oh, look at what we have here. Knight-in-a-can~ My favorite~"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Valiant Knights and Holy Crusaders fabled for their deeds, most notoriously, the slaying of a vicious dragon responsible for terrorizing the countryside, and occasionally, the burnination of a couple of thatch-roof cottages are many and common, their tales having seeped through all generations so that some part of them may live on through each retelling. It's quite the honor, one could think, to become a legend, a myth, a champion of all hearts willing to believe in you.
This would explain why so many eager young warriors go out of their way to seek out the dragonkin, trying to find some way to leave their imprint on history, to leave a mark on a world that is constantly eroding all traces of those but the most remarkable of man and woman. Why dragons, though? Are they, as a race, such a terrible thing, only a plague upon humankind, to be hunted down and killed indiscriminately? Of course not! Dragons are people, too! ...Sort of. Well, some of them are, anyways, and they have feelings, just like you and me!
Well, it turns out that Thessaly is not one of those dragons. I mean, sure, she's a dragonness, and sure, she has feelings, but as far as all that stuff goes about how dragons should be treated fairly and without contempt, Thessaly probably deserves it all. This isn't to say she's cruel, or without mercy, or that she's done a bit of unprovoked burnination (Though she certainly has.), but that she's very adamant about her 'place' in existence. To a point, this is understandable, as you don't grow to be around 120 feet taller than the largest of the dominant species on the planet, along with breathing fire and the ability to fly and NOT think you're a little better... or completely superior. Whichever, really.
This superiority complex is evident in her dealings with humans. While she doesn't always end up eating or killing the tiny humans that bother her on occasion, she doesn't really have any qualms with doing so, either. The first time she ever crossed one, she simply stared at him. They had met on a road between two major cities, the prefectures having been involved in many inter-city trade and immigration. She had been sleeping, and, as one would expect, had just settled down wherever she thought she might find comfortable. Unfortunately, this turned out to be right in the middle of the road, not to mention the entire valley aside from it. The poor little merchant didn't know what to think when he embarked on his journey to the next city, only to be blocked off by a strange, peach-colored, squishy mountain range. Well, after a few hours of confusion and wonder, he simply decided to climb over the mountain. Pretty reasonable course of action, huh?
Well, instinct is pretty reasonable, too, if a bit disturbing, as well sometimes. After all, soon, the tickling sensations of a little man climbing over her waist and thigh would cause her shift, sending him into a tumble over the landscape of her body, before she would soon wake, and seek the source of the disturbance, landing the attention of two, large optics upon him. With the mode callous of motions and disregard, she would simply raise her hand, and brush the man off of her, the motion tossing him off of her and onto the other side of the path, before laying back down without any disturbance. She treated him just like a little insect, one that deserved no second thought or inspection, even though it was the first time she had ever even seen a human. Thankfully, the young man survived his fall, some of the goods he had been carrying in the pouch on his back had broken his crash upon the ground.
This did not stop him from hurrying to town with a limp, and falling upon the guards at the entrance, speaking in complete shock and terror. "D-Dragon!" He would scream, not even knowing exactly what it was that he had seen, but that the leathery wings and the scales on that gigantic tail immediately struck an image into his mind. Though, he knew not how correct he actually was~. Just the same, the town guard and a few onlookers reluctantly set out to encounter this so-called dragon, only to be met by the no longer sleeping creature.
Needless to say, she didn't take too kindly to being marched upon and approached as violently as she was. The guards tried to stab at her with spears and slash at her with swords, and threw torches at her in an attempt to drive her away, or even kill her, if they dared to dream so far from their potential. These things were only a nuisance, however, and with the attitude of a playful, cruel sportswoman, Thessaly toyed with her foes, only prolonging their lives so long as they provided her with enough enjoyment. Mostly, this was through her examination, peeling away armor and helmets in order to inspect her little prey, while others simply were tossed into her mouth and swallowed, plate and all, to see how they tasted. Despite all that took place that night, the world soon knew of Thessaly, and with a handful of townspeople and guards dead or digesting within her reptilian stomach, and others strewn elsewhere in injury, she was just another statistic that lined up in order to condemn all of dragonkin, and soon enough, knights, warriors, crusaders, and even the occasional bard set out in hopes of vanquishing her. Good luck, guys.
She's not going to be lost to history, either, however, even if some lucky adventurer manages to finish her off someday. Her real name, one unknown, and likely uncomfortable to reproduce in common tongue, is proof of this. She is called 'Thessaly', named somewhat fondly by a poet who lived in the city the fateful day that young merchant came scrambling in. Indeed, she shares the very name of the city she 'terrorizes'.
So! In conclusion, we have an approximately 130' tall female dragon with a light temperament for playing with her food and thinking she just might be 'What's What', and has no concern or regard for humans; Life, Liberty, or Else. Any questions?

Another picture of Thessaly. It seems like a silly knight managed to trespass into her cave, undetected. Or did he~?
