Naga are known to be many things: Warriors, Predators, sneaky, evil, not so evil... well, many things. But one thing that is rare to see in the deserts of Shah'tar is a naga devoted to the ways of the Light... a paladin.

Thessara, or Sara as she is often called, had aspired since young years to become something more than her peers. Her tribe was one of the strongest warrior tribes in the country, and even the youngest were made to undergo rigorous training from the age they'd be able to hold a blade. Young Sara was no exception to this... though she had a small problem that set her apart from the rest. She was blind since birth. The normally spartan training was nearly impossible for her, though despite her own problems and personal desires, she perseveres, and excelled in her training.

Once she had passed the required tests, she left her tribe, and wandered off to the cities to look for a greater purpose. It took her months, aimlessly wandering, only being able to count on her sense of smell and hearing, until one day, she dropped in the desert sands, starving and dehydrated, her body unable to keep up with her spirit. It all seemed lost to her, then. Until she woke up three days after, in a warm white room, covered with simple, but cozy furniture, with a kind-looking youth over her bed.

She had been taken to a paladin temple, found by one of their young scouts while they patrolled the desert, and carried to safety. They had expected her to leave immediately after recovering... but instead, she stayed. She begged to be allowed to perform any work for the temple, being cleaning or hunting, in order to repay her debt. They allowed it... but soon enough, Sara was engrossed with their ways. The devotion, the selfless wish to protect others, the peace the Light offered them... she wanted to learn. And when she asked, they let her. The 16 year old naga then started her training, spending the next four years in the temple. Her previous skills made her a fine candidate to be a warrior of the light, and her latter education in the holy ways only added to that. While the priests could not heal her sight, they taught her to "feel" around herself, as well as a spell that allowed her to read the temple's vast library.

Now a full-fledged Paladin, Sara has left the temple to help those in need, vowed to bring peace and security to the world, and smite down any evil that would threaten it.


More to come when I'm not so lazy. A less generic story maybe.
