General

Despite her being one of the deadliest species of shark, Tikari is generally quite safe to be around, preferring to move from beach to beach and river to river just having fun.

Biology

As a tiger shark, Tikari is capable of breathing in both sea- and freshwater, but is also capable of moving about on land thanks to her humanoid anatomy.

She can't stray too far from bodies of water, unless she knows she'll be able to stay hydrated, because despite being capable of walking about on land, she is obligated to keep moist, typically having about three hours before she absolutely must at the very least drink a gallon of water or else dry up and die.

When she wants to swim quickly, Tikari can fold her limbs against her body to take on a more hydrodynamic shape, using her fins and the movement of her whole body to swim like a regular shark. Where regular Tiger Sharks usually only swim at a leisurely 2.4 mph with occasional bursts up to 20 mph that last but a few seconds, Tikari in her swimming arrangement, with the help of her land-honed musculature can maintain 12 mph for hours, hitting close to 40 mph at a 'sprint'.

Biography and Personality

About 22 years old (she'd sooner eat a calendar than actually use it) Tikari was born as all Tiger Sharks are, meaning ovoviviparously, or hatching inside her mother and being born fully-developed and immediately left to fend for herself.
This, along with being an apex predator, has contributed to her independence and her tendency to take what she wants when she wants it. She doesn't generally form long-term attachments, but will remember a familiar face for years. When hunting or approaching a new person or situation, she moves slowly, getting a feel for her target before initiating contact. If approached first, Tikari may startle, but quickly grows friendly so long as the other person is.

Diet

A carnivore by nature of her heritage, Tikari will have something like an allergic reaction to vegetable matter in any significant amount, usually just vomiting the offending food up and feeling lousy for a while. Interestingly, she exhibits something like pica, readily gobbling up non-food items she finds while hunting. Contents of her stomach usually include at least one shoe, mismatched jewelry, $2.85 in loose change, and a license plate, which she simply can't digest. This behavior is well in line with normal tiger sharks.

While she's generally relaxed and friendly, Tikari has been known to occasionally indulge in large prey, as she likes the feeling of things squirming in her belly. She'll absolutely jump at the opportunity of a free meal, willing or unwilling, especially individuals who are in the waters she's patrolling at the time.

Sexuality

Tikari has no real preferences regarding who she'll spend some quality time with, be they male, female, herm, human, furry, or scaly like her, though contact with fur tends to dry her out, so she'll likely ask to either have her fun in a body of water or at least keep some water on hand.
Her flesh is smooth, usually slippery and, unlike typical sharks, will not harm someone if touched in any particular way.
Additionally, she's quite fond of sticking her long snout or longer tail in all manner of places, capable of thrusting either of them wherever it will make her partner squirm and squeal.
