The Tourist Trap is an entertianment/hostelry chain that caters to a certain clientèle, mostly those who are in search of a one of a kind experience. The general décor is fairly campy,tacky, and cheap(Think roadside attractions). The activities other than sleeping in theme rooms and going to overdone carnival attractions include interesting sideshows. Some of them campy, some morbid, and some just creepy. Its all designed to extract money from its patrons..it does it very well


Each of the chain is managed and mostly owned by a different person, mostly a franchise operation. All do there best to make a lot of money. Campy and themed merchandise is everywhere, a dark sense of humor in some, the classic “Tshirt” has a fat gator with a struggling bulge picking his teeth with the places Logo atop “Tourist trap Orlando” was the one who innovated this. Some of them are shabby, some are very seedy.. and some make your skin crawl just getting there...(the Orlando branch oddly seems to be almost pleasant)



Only 1/5 to 1/15 of the customers never return, the vast majority have to be let go after there amazing experience to tell the good word... and keep coming back for more. So most people who get to “Sleep in a Elephant” get vomited out after a night.. but there are just enough people who don't come back to fill the predator workers needs. Generally most workers/traps take precautions to safeguard or reform there customers..

Offerings(general, specifics WILL vary depending on how well traveled/staffed/financed a certain place is),

Generally room is either traditional campy hotel rooms(often kinky, sometimes VERY kinky,), stomachs(or other orifaces of large predators, Also “Sleep with a man eater” rooms that mix in sex with the more normal sorta room. Most people will buy a roulette style spin on a wheel that shows what room the'll be in.

Almost ALL Tourist traps have a mystery vortex of some sort where people never return(into a predators gut).

Museums-akin to roadshows/carnivals—The snuff museum is common, the predator artifact Pavilion(ahh this cell phone came out of a elephant that ate four men in one sitting, this is all that remained...other than shit. Other common ones are statues of predators(or stuffed ones) only some are really alive and standing guard.. Nearly all of these would be naked exhibits of course, Generally this also includes macro sized “statues” that form set pieces of the place.. giant lion straddling the entrance... sure it didn't move

Haunted houses: very common, obvious tricks.

Things to Buy: Tshirts are the big seller, other apparel soon after, even down to underpants. Bibs, eating utensils, plates and various cooking gear is also common. You have your stuffed animals and statues of the star attractions, snowglobes, lamps and othe bric-abrack.. past the beaded curtain you can by guaranteed authentic items that aren't on show(Generally not high enough quality).. a pair of boxers that went through an otters digestive track, drivers licenesss that survided after there owner, a broken ipod that got snorted up with some curious victim...these more grizzly souvenirs are rather popular too.
