What if Blue_Jay was Pokeyman?

Jessica 'Bluejay' Drummond was born in Nimbasa City, in the Unova region. A city with a rich musical culture, a love of that music was instilled within her at a young age and she quickly took to the stage, performing with all manner of musical instruments. Halway through middle school, however, her father got a high-paying job with a high-profile company across the ocean, in the Galar region, and she and her mother went with, settling in the suburbs of the region's captial city, Wyndon. Soon after the move, the girl went through the oh-so-common rite of passage for the youth of the world, receiving her first partner Pokemon to raise. The Galar region was full of many fantastical creatures, different than those she grew up with back home, and she was entrusted with the care of a fiery, active Scorbunny that she named Aaron.

It was a few more years before she went through that second rite of passage, setting out on a journey across the Galar region. A few months after her 16th birthday, she set out on that journey, a journey to grow, to experience the whole of the Galar region herself, to meet new Pokémon partners and push herself by participating in the region's Gym Challenge. She and her Scorbunny did well in the Gyms, going so far as to qualify for the Champion's Cup, the region's highest tournament, but fell short to the girl that would become the eventual champion. Satisfied with what she had accomplished, she returned home for a while, but eventually that adventuring bug bit her again, so Bluejay made her way out in the world again, this time just to explore. First the areas of the Galar region she hadn't yet been to, but she quickly took her winnings from her success in the Champion's Cup and used them to start traveling the world. Now 19 years of age, she's a cheerful, well-traveled, music-loving girl with a trusty team, always up for whatever challenge her adventures bring her way.

Her team consists of her trusty Cinderace Aaron, the same fiery bunny she received all those years ago; a talented low-key Toxtricity by the name of Roxie that she writes and performs music with; an energetically-cheerful Noivern named Ace; and Pinches, a Crawdaunt that's quite protective of her.

So, what about her dietary inclinations? Well, yes, much like her default setting, this Pokémon setting is a voracious world as well. Trainers regularly battle each-other for more than just pocket change, and there's plenty of voracious 'mons out in the wilds as well. Bluejay herself is a successful trainer, though far from the biggest fish in the sea, and while she's not itching to sink her teeth into every trainer she comes across, she won't back down if challenged, either. When she does get her hands on someone, she's fond of barbecue, and also the wide variety of curry that's popular in Galar. Of course, what sort of trainer would she be if she didn't share food with her loyal team, and there's nothing quite like sitting down to dinner with friends - maybe even helping her opponent's team recover after being on the losing end of their battle. That's not to say she plays for keeps, though; Pokémon Centers also serve as "respawn points" for those that end up as part of someone (or something's) diet.

Miscellaneous Notes: By default, Pokémon in this world are the normal, non-morphic type, but I'm more than fine to play with demi-humanoid or gijinka 'mons, as well. While I'm happy to let regular Pokémon chow down on humans, I only generally like the reverse with the more humanoid ones. If you don't want to RP out a fight, we can use a battle simulator such as Pokémon Showdown to battle in, and base the scene (and its aftermath) on that.

Never/Dislike What, did you think Pokécenters were only for Pokémon? This is my default, but I'm willing to play without it.

Never/Dislike Trainer curry is a popular dish where she's from, and a defeated rival turning over the coals really saves on food costs.

Never/Dislike A little size difference is acceptable. Not a fan of the extremes, though. Vanishing down the throat of something naturally huge (like a Gyrados) is also fine.

Never/Dislike I'm not verbose for verbosity's sake. I won't not make an effort, but I also won't type more than I need to.
