A hero through and through, Touya put the Championship of Unova down after a scarce few months of reigning as the pinnacle of battling prowess in the nation, setting out to travel all over the world.

Nowadays, Touya wanders the globe, assisting all those who require it, defending the innocent from whoever might wish to harm them... all with a bright, cheerful smile on his face. What guides him to do this is the same ideal that afforded him the companionship of the Dragon of Ideals; Touya believes that by being an example of kindness, virtue, strength and heroism, he will inspire others to follow in his steps. While the work is exhausting, Touya perseveres, certain that -- eventually -- the rest of the world will follow him into the sun.

An ambitious, talented young trainer from a small, humble town that set out on a Pokémon journey across Unova to make friends, discover his place in the world and become the best version of himself possible... only to stumble into a national crisis. Compelled to intervene in the deteriorating situation by a simple desire to protect the people in the region he loved, Touya navigated the madness that consumed the region and managed to break the back of the group that threatened it, rising to dizzying heights amidst all the chaos. By the time the emergency was over, Touya emerged a changed man.

Unova's new Champion was no longer a brash, reckless young man. Shaped by his experiences, Touya became a hero through and through; charming, well-spoken, shockingly wise for someone so young, and every bit as cunning... along with an immense talent for battle. And last, but certainly not least, Touya developed a philosophy, with which he sought to change the world-- he believed that by becoming the best Trainer and Champion possible, his example would inspire others to do the same. To protect the innocent, to help one another and to defend from those who would seek to harm them. Touya sought to uplift his peers by serving as an example of what a Trainer and person could and should be-- a vision of the Ideal man. The man of tomorrow.

It was this ideal for a new world and Touya's sheer belief in it that led him to be recognized by the Dragon of Ideals, Zekrom. And it was that same ideal that brought him to eventually abdicate as the Champion of Unova; for the Hero of Ideals couldn't ignore the rest of the world when it needed his help. Nor was his philosophy limited to a single region. And, unbeknownst to the rest of the world-- there was one person that Touya sought to find, eventually.

Nowadays, the former Hero of Ideals travels the world on Zekrom's back, making friends and inspiring his peers to do good everywhere he goes, making his dreams a reality-- serving as an example to follow, bringing kindness and hope wherever he goes, while facing evil wherever it rears its head.
