Tristana hails from the swamplands on the outskirts of the park, an aiea run by a powerful witch. Normally, the denizens of the area make it a point to steer clear of her, but Trist was challenged to a dare, to break into her house and steal something. Didn't have to be anything in particular, just something from her house. She'd actually succeeded too, though she took a necklace, which happened to be very important to the witch. It took only a few days for her to find out who did it, the hag placing a hex of Tristana, the salamander girl growing massive ears, making her look rather awkward and out of place among the others in her small village. It also gave her a very acute sense of hearing. While no one said it to her face, they all called her names behind her back, calling her a freak and other such things. She could hear most of it, and one night, she left the swamp in tears, the unwelcomeness of her former friends finally too much for her to bear.

After leaving, she'd wandered around, soon stumbling on the park, a place she had never actually been to before, despite being so close, and a very strange place at that! So many different people, people of all kinds of races and looks. Surely someone like her would fit in just fine? She certainly hoped so!

So here she is now, a smile on her face and a cheery bounce in her step, looking to make friends and start a new, happy life in the park.
