Tsuyasha
Tsuyasha is a tall, dark-skinned woman- though it's not her skin color that's most noticeable. Rather, it's the immense mass of red hair that hangs from her head. When she's casual, the entire mess is bound into a bun-and-tail that, despite the bun itself being almost as voluminous as her braincase, hangs all the way down to her ankles.
Her hair is even more impressive when she's done-up for battle- it hangs in a splay of six thick braids that -still- reach her ankles, trailing behind her when she moves- which she doesn't do as often in her battle-garb: Full plate armor, even without a helmet, is not terribly conducive to mobility. Why no helmet? So that she can use her immense longbow accurately, of course. That's right- in combat, she wields a longbow and stands there in plate armor, the medieval equivalent of a light gun emplacement. This is further enhanced by her facility at getting -just- far enough away from someone attacking her in melee to plant another arrow in them- and with the pull her bow has, that's often enough to lay someone out even if she hasn't just hit something vital.
Of course, the plate armor doesn't really do her justice. Standing just over six and a half feet tall, the brown- and I do mean a true brown- skinned woman is statuesque, graced generously in bust, rump, and hip, as well as with a modest- but not waspish- waistline. She often wears what she calls an 'Uzume', though that word almost certainly hasn't ever been attached to a garment you've ever heard of. An 'Uzume' appears to consist of a pair of detached white sleeves bound to the bicep with red ribbon, conical sleeves that drape around the hands artfully, accompanied by a white top that might as well be a simple bandeaux for all that it shows- it covers the majority of either breast and wraps around the torso behind, though it leaves a good bit of cleavage bare, and while it does continue below that, the fourth part of the garment, a bright red pleat skirt in the Japanese style, is drawn up to and belted just below the bust. This hangs down to the ankles, leaving Tsuyasha's simple woven sandals bare.
Her face is heart-shaped and nearly free of markings- only a single short scar, which diagonally crosses her left eye and eyebrow- while her right eye is a bright, cheerful green, her left is milky-white, apparently blind. Why this doesn't have any affect on her archery, nobody has yet figured out and if she knows, she isn't telling.
Regardless if she wears armor or 'uzume', Tsuyasha wears a simple tiara under her hair, clean polished silver with a sapphire in the front and center, oval-cut with the long direction vertical.
She moves like a royal warrior, thinks like a tactician, and acts like a commoner- a strange mixture of traits. She's very self-sufficient, and can occasionally be seen working in a forge, repairing or adjusting some piece of the heavy plate armor she wears into battle- so clearly she knows more than just the craft of war itself.
