The earliest memory Ue has is where she was alone. She got split up from her family when she was very young, and then was adopted
by another group of mermaids. However, Ue comes from a subrace of larger mermaids, her kind is generally more dangerous to humans
and creatures of similar size. However, the ocean has plenty of large creatures Ue would grow up eating instead of trapping land
dwellers and eating them. Ue grew up looking at them with a friendlier attitude than many of the other mermaids in her size-class.

As she got larger though she had to strike out on her own. She still visits her adoptive family and has strong connections, but she
lives and hunts by herself. Ue had to pick up some magic as well for greater protection. One of these magical protections is a
powerful bejewled pendant that she wears around her neck. It provides a few unique abilities and has been bound to her.

Thanks to her pendant she can change her size relative to others. She uses it primarily for interaction, and prefers to stick to a
similar size to those she interacts with, instead of remaining in her naturally giant size all the time. That being said, she is a
fairly affectionate mermaid, but naturally defensive. She may enjoy interacting with people, but is not opposed to eating them if
she is hungry enough - or angry.
