Umbramorphs

Umbramorphs are a strange sort of being, made out of some sort of fleshy mass. They aren't truly made out of darkness, as they are more morphological flesh. They all come in different forms, depending on the type that they are, but their types are limitless and more individual than grouped together. What is known about them is that they are hunters, especialy at night when they are more easily hidden. They wish to devour beings with a lifeforce mainly, but are not strangers to eating constructs. But they can be eaten as well, as they are usually able to be easily taken on one on one. At least... the smaller ones are. Every Umbramorph has a core, an orb that can glow any color depending on which Umbramorph it is, covered in a black, web like substance. Their main goal is to feed on beings with any sort of essence. This means magical constructs and such are still food to them. More can be revealed about these creatures through learning.

From Steph, it was discovered that there are symbiotic ones. Possibly parasitic ones as well.

Umbris

Umbris is one of the smaller types of Umbramorphs, and is more... relatable in a style similar to that of Venom. His body is made up of tight tendrils that are almost like a pseudo-muscle structure which is easily morphable. He is able to take a more goo like form, either with just parts of his body, partially goopey, or entirel just a slime. Though he prefers to stick to his primary form with his tendrils, as it is the most comfortable form for him. When touched, it definitely feels more like flesh, warm and smooth. His tendrils have flower like buds on the end that open up to intake prey if he so desires to devour that way. He can also form a mouth, either jagged teeth or goopey, slime-like mouth. Despite his size, he is able to intake quite large prey, which would frighten any giant he comes across. He also can develop genitalia for mating reasons. He already has a digestive system. As a more alien-like being, he mainly just diposes of bones and clothes. Umbris's core is also located in his chest, like a heart. Inside his maw, he has a somewhat longer than average, slightly pointed tongue. The entire build of the being may be small, but it does seem to have a lot of muscle behind it due to how it builds itself. His eyes are a glowing white, which helps see them in the dark if one has good perception.

Personality wise, the being seems primal, yet seems to have a high level of sentience and intelligence, though he mainly does not speak. Mainly, he just wants food, solitude, or both. Though if approached nicely, he can be tamed, or at least befriended. Though when confronted with violence, he will do anything to get rid of the things that threaten him. Though there are signs of what could have been a past personality, breaking out into more human-like thoughts and behaviour and seems to have a lot more emotion.

Umbris Magna

Umbris Magna, this is when Umbris becomes furious or finds the need to go all out. He will build up his energy and melt down his body, growing heavily in size as a more blob-like creature. In this form, he can be more related to Aldia from Dark Souls II. He is abou 15 feet tall, but that size can change depending on the circumstances. His main attacks are to create balls of energy with his tendrils and fire them at someone, devouring someone through any means he can, or straight up slamming people with his tendrils.

At times, while as Umbris Magna, it is almost as if an entirely different being takes over instead of just Umbris. Though the being has been yet to be witnessed, he prefers to skip the name Umbris and just be referred to as Magnus.
