Mysterious small beings that appear rarely...supposedly from a different dimension believed to be where they reside, 28 forms have been identified and they all seem to share memories and knowledge. While one alone seems weak and generates a small amount of odd power, when more come together they link their minds and are able to distort reality to a small extent. People have claimed to have seen their wishes and desires when encountering these entities in large groups.

The Unown communicate through electromagnetic waves with one another, rarely using vocal communication. They tend to dwell in places laced in time such as ruins, temples and old shrines, idly floating around with letters plastered on their clothes indicating their form. While this is not confirmed, it is said they have a bizarre connection with a deity. When others are present they tend to respond by being called their respective letters, while the '!' and '?' forms seem to be known as Surp and Kess
Removing one form from the group often results in the form being replaced by another from it's dimension. Cases have been reported of different coloured Unown appearing as well as large forms that sport aggression.
