Uteki_Watatsumi

Uteki Watatsumi, above all else, is an enemy of humanity.

As an infant, Uteki was thought to have perished along with her family aboard a ferry that sank while crossing a river eighteen years ago. Miraculously, however, the girl was found on the shore of the river a full three days after the accident, perfectly unharmed. Even more curiously, Uteki's hair had suddenly changed to an unnaturally white color, and it has stayed that way ever since. Uteki has since been adopted by a mysterious woman by the name of Mazuka Watatsumi, and has taken her name. She is now attending her first year of college

This seemingly innocent girl hides a terrifying secret. Her adoptive mother, Mazuka, is not human at all! She is a vengeful minor water goddess, serving the chief water god Suijin. On that fateful, tragic night eighteen years ago, she formed a contract with Uteki, binding her as a servant of the oceans and rivers of the world. Uteki became something not quite human, an ally of the seas and all its spirits. But most importantly, Uteki was given a mission: She must devour humans, channeling her prey's energies into the repair of the Earth's ravaged oceans.

Despite this malicious purpose, Uteki is generally a very upbeat, happy sort of girl. Her spunky style and love of puns make her seem quite likeable to her classmates (while they're not being eaten, anyway), and her love and adoration towards her adoptive mother and sister give off the impression that they're a fairly normal family.
