It was prophesized that Ragnarok would come swiftly upon the earth, plaguing it with natural disaster after natural disaster and destroying men and gods alike. The earth would be repeatedly submerged in water, and as a result all lands would become more fertile than ever. The remaining gods would gather and rebuild civilization, repopulating using the two remaining humans.

The bringer of such destruction was never verbally spoken of. Maybe it was out of fear. Fear that if even her name was spoken, she reveal herself and bring Ragnarok that much sooner. It mattered not, however, as the goddess Valhalla lounged in her own domain. Little did the pathetic gods and mortals know, the prophecy meant nothing to her. She would reign down on all of them whenever she so pleased. They could not confine a power as great as hers.

Valhalla entered this world in the darkness of the night, lighting up the sky with her radiance, her laughter plaguing the entire earth and all who heard it to the bone. Those that happened to be below her when she emerged were not pitied upon, even as they attempted to worship her and give her offerings in an attempt to sway her into sparing their lives. Their cries fell upon deaf ears, and millions were swiftly crushed with her first footfall upon the earth.

It would seem that the prophecy was incorrectly heard by all. By natural disaster, it merely meant that they would die at the hand of Valhalla, doing what she did naturally. Breathing, walking, nourishing herself. They would be obliterated by her meaningless gestures, her basic functions.

And this would in turn prove how truly pathetic each and every one of them really was.
