Description:

Varenx is feral male gryphon standing at about 5 feet 11 inches in height, measured from the bottom of his foreclaws to his shoulders. The legendary creature looks like a bald eagle - except for his eartufts on the top of his skull - having the hindquarters of a lion. Eagle and lion. The two most noble creatures in the creation. The lion, being the king of the beasts and the eagle who conquers the skies.

His body length is roughly 17 feet including the feline tail (a good 10 feet without) that sways very slowly behind him as he slowly measures you with his intelligent avian eyes that gleam in an unusual blue shade. Given the nature of those avian eyes and the other features of a raptor, his facial expressions tend to be hard to interpret, which makes him capable of hiding his feelings. If one only look at his face, that is. His tail, his wings, and the positioning of his feathers on the other hand would allow anyone - who knows how to read the signs - read the avian's emotions. He has pure white feathers covering the large wings that are folded upon his back, and his head.

Judging by his wings' size they could span around 40 feet or maybe even more if they're fully spread. He obviously takes a good care of his feathers and fur and grooms them a lot for they are nicely arranged, straight and absolutely clean. Massive amount of muscles wave beneath his skin as he moves, even though a thin layer of fat tries to hide that fact here and there. Of course, since he is primarily an avian, his foreclaws are not that muscular, and he might even look clumsy when he is grounded, obviously not built for walking or running. His talons are nicely curved, they look razor sharp and strong enough to grab and hold his catch until he finally gulps it down or finishes it off. His beak seems to be a perfect tool to handle even larger meals or tear hunks of flesh off his prey if necessary.

All in all he looks like a fierce predator with natural gifts to prey upon weaker or less intelligent creatures.
