The creations of the gods are an oddity. Some have a distinct purpose or a part in a larger plan. Others were simply made from boredom and were never given the luxury of having that greater design. These were observed to see what they would do, how they would act, to entertain the creator, but they were invariably destroyed or forgotten. This is the fate that befell Vearin, who was made by a harvest goddess some hundred years ago, only to eventually have all communication dwindle away into nothing, and leaving the being to wander the world as a forgotten creation.

However, even though the attention deserted it, the being's properties did not fade. Nothing changed, aside from the vanishing of divine guidance. Granted, finding one's deity deserting one's self certainly planted some nihilistic outlooks in it, but as the creature was set free, it molded itself, finding a form it could enjoy, and just doing its best to carry on living. There was no point, and no real reason for it, and yet... 'she' found herself not quite able to give into a permanent death. the goddess's power granted her a unique form of immortality, after all. While she could be damaged, it would not be permanent. Even if her body and soul were destroyed, so long as a thought of her remained, she would eventually pop back into existence. Perhaps she'll have a scar or two, but cuts, concussions, broken bones, anything will eventually heal, normally within the hour for a minor wound and within a day or two for more greivous things. Her body is also uniquely malleable, letting even her human half bend around as it pleases, as if she lacks bones and organs entirely. She has even been seen doing something akin to breaking reality, by pulling tools or entertainment devices out of seemingly nowhere.

The lamia, or so she styled herself, doesn't actually have any genetalia, nor can she naturally produce eggs. She also has what we'd call 'hammerspace insides', in that she is a lot bigger on the inside than the outside. Her human stomach can naturally contain a lot less, but as a tradeoff, it digests food rather quickly. In contrast, her snake stomach has a very slow digestion, allowing her to subsist on a banquet's worth of food for weeks with no discernable detriment or difficulty, or even sign of it from the outside.

Vearin is a nihilist, but a kind nihilist. She does not value her own life, and only slightly values the lives of others, but she is always calm and polite. Granted, she's a massive pervert and a gutslut, taking full advantage of her immortality to more or less fulfill her desires without any real concern for her own safety. This is further perpetuated with the complete lack of sensation she feels, leaving her constantly craving intense feelings of any kind. This more or less turned her into a masochist over time.
