Born in 25BBY on Ryloth, Veno grew up with her parents and her two years younger sister in a small village, which held no strategic importance during the Clone War. Thus she never saw a jedi, and has very faint memories of battle droids and clones. However, when Palpatine proclaimed the Galactic Empire, Ryloth was quickly occupied. As she grew older and more mature under imperial occupation, she had a better grasp of what was happening, and how bad it was. She saw people taken away, never to be seen again.

When she was 16, an insurgent killed an imperial officer near her village. In retaliation, the Empire executed 50 Twi'leks, including her parents and her sister. She only managed to escape this because she was out of town, and returned to an empty home. Angered, saddened and with nothing left, she joined a local rebel cell. They trained her in the use of blasters, explosives and guerilla tactics, as well as sabotage, assassination and intel gathering. This is also when she discovered her ability to swallow stormtroopers whole, allowing for clean elimination that leave no trace of the target. But for now, her action was still limited to Ryloth.

It is only around the age of 19 that she saw a holo from Mon Mothma, calling for people to resist the Empire's tyranny. This made Veno realize this fight was bigger than Ryloth, and the only way to ensure the freedom of her people was to take the fight to the emperor.
Despite the protest of some people in her local cell, she managed to get in contact with Alliance recruiters. She went through more advanced military training to become sergeant in the pathfinders. Thus began her military career in the Rebel Alliance.
The war took her to many places in the galaxy: Dantooine, Yavin, Jabiim, Hoth, Endor... She took part in many battles, including the ones that led to the liberation of Ryloth and the Core Worlds like Coruscant. Throughout the war, she rose in the ranks, and devoured countless imperial troopers and officers, who became padding on her curves.

With the Empire's end, having known war for most of her life, Veno might decide to stay in the newly founded New Republic Defense Force, and make a career there to fight any imperial remnant threatening the safety of the citizens of the New Republic, but also to continue to devour its enemies and never go hungry.
