Verity

--------------------
Appearance:
--------------------

At first glance, Verity would appear to be a classic female anthro skunk, just a little more than 5 ft. tall, probably around 130 lbs. if you count her huge tail. She has soft sea green eyes and the standard black and white striped pattern along her fur that is standard among skunks. She wears clothes only 5% of the time, but she keeps her fur trimmed long enough to keep herself modest; the only clothing she always wears is what would appear to be a forest green scarf tied in a bow around the middle of her tail. Nothing out of the ordinary at a glance.

The first thing that should strike someone as odd about her is her ears. While most skunks have rounded ears, Verity has perked, pointed ears that would be more characterizing of a fox. At first glance, that should be her only defining foxlike characteristic, but anyone that gets close enough will see that her big fluffy skunk's tail is actually several (nine, to be precise) more foxy tails kept tied together by the scarf into the resemblance of one big fluffy skunk's tail. Verity is, in fact, a skitsune, half skunk, half kitsune.

Of course, those are only the differences that can be seen with the human eye. To those of you who are in tune to the supernatural, Verity has a presence that can be felt a mile wide. Even though she is only a half-kitsune, she still has a full set of nine tails, and all the power that can be expected to come with them.

--------------------
Personality:
--------------------

Despite having a number of tails that should indicate her as being centuries old, she is actually only in her mid twenties and has a youthful personality to match. Her personality is generally reflective; she will respond to people as they respond to her, but left alone, she generally variates between being shy and reserved or sweet and playful. Don't assume, however, that such means she is easy prey. She didn't earn nine tails at such an early age just by being nice to everyone.

Verity's default youthful personality could be attributed to the fact that she was never granted citizenship at birth and spent the first twenty years of her life under ownership as a pet -- a legal playmate and cuddle companion to anyone that could afford her. She has, within the last year, been granted legal freedom and gained some self-confidence to go with it, but old habits die hard and she still sometimes reverts to her original sweet and submissive nature.

Where she comes from, the word "human" is strictly an adjective which refers to any living thing with sentience. She may refer to herself as human, for example, and since she's never actually seen one before coming here, she finds human beings to be absolutely fascinating.

At least, that's Verity the majority of the time. She has some split personalities that surface once in a blue moon which will be discussed later on.

--------------------
Tails:
--------------------

Kitsunes are typically born with one tail and grow additional tails with age, usually one tail for every fifty to a hundred years of life. As a hybrid kitsune, Verity would likely have developed her additional tails at an even slower rate. That means that for Verity to have a full nine tails while still in her twenties, she would had to have increased her powers (and her number of tails) through an alternative means.

In this case, Verity's alternative was by absorbing the souls of other living creatures into her own being. That means she has, in her very short (for a kitsune) lifetime, swallowed and absorbed eight individuals, one for each of her tails minus the one she was born with.

Each individual that she absorbed had a unique soul that manifests into her being in two ways. First, and most prominently, she has inherited "talents," powers that reflect on the nature of the individual as they were in life. Second, since she absorbed their very souls into her being, their most dominant personality traits may surface inside Verity as a sort of split personality. These instances are very rare and usually subtle enough that one would instead attribute them to be quirks or mood swings instead of dual personalities.

Though none of Verity's tails are actually directly rooted towards her talents (with only one or two exceptions), Verity has kept track of what tail she received when. She often thinks of her tails as being sort of like the reincarnations of the souls she absorbed into her being and has named them accordingly. The first one she was born with, and refers to simply as "her tail." The others are as follows:

The Tail of Woe
Verity's scent glands had been removed when she was just a baby, but when she developed her second tail, she developed a new gland as well. Instead of a skunk's natural pungent repellent, Verity can spray an odorless musk which incapacitates those who inhale it.

The tail's split personality does not manifest like her others do, but she can tap into it; doing so knocks her out just as quickly as its musk knocks others out.

The Tail of Hunger
Verity's most used tail transitioned her internal anatomy into a hammerspace. She can swallow people and objects several times her own size in seconds with only a couple of gulps, and her belly may hold just about anything without showing even the slightest indent in her form. She can also control her rate of digestion, able to keep prey alive inside her for days or absorb them completely into her in seconds.

The tail's personality usually manifests, as you might have guessed, as a sudden interest in an individual's taste or a desire to swallow them. It's usually hard to tell when it is manifesting as Verity is an endosmaphile herself.

The Tail of Envy
This tail gave Verity the ability to temporarily alter her physical appearance into that of any other living thing (within reason, of course). Most commonly she uses this to disguise herself as other anthro female mammals, but she can push herself to temporarily become a different gender, different body type or a non-furry species.

The tail's personality typically only surfaces in the company of other predators and manifests as temporary feelings of disgust and resentment for the species of the predator in question. This personality surfaces more easily than others, but only with the proper encouragement (IE: a predator with a disgusting or resentful personality).

The Tail of Desire
This tail also allows Verity to spray an odorless musk, but unlike the sedative she got from the Tail of Woe, this tail's musk acts as an aphrodisiac.

As you might have guessed, the tail's personality sometimes acts as an aphrodisiac on Verity herself. While Verity is usually very shy about sex, she will sometimes become highly aroused by anyone or anything. Her friends sometimes refers to it as her "Rule 34 tail" because there appear to be absolutely no limitations as to who or what she may spontaneously become aroused by.

The Tail of Murder
With this tail, Verity can phase in and out of the "spirit realm," allowing her to turn invisible and/or pass through solid objects, including that of other living creatures.

The tail's personality is cold and calculating, sometimes manifesting as a devil on Verity's shoulder, but rarely ever rouses itself to the point of taking over.

The Tail of Mercy
This tail differs from the others in that it was not acquired from one complete body and soul, but from a menagerie of a thousand souls torn from their bodies. These souls are all of one mind and unquestionably devoted to Verity. They do not manifest as a split personality and are Verity's primary tool in suppressing the personalities of all of her other tails.

Whenever Verity swallows a living being, she can break down the energy of their mind, body and soul and store them inside this tail, and no matter how long they have been kept inside her, she can reconstruct them and let them back out. This is true of all of the souls inside her tail, but while there is theoretically no limit to how many living creatures she can take in, there is a limit on how many she can release if she wants to keep her tail.

Verity has met that minimum requirement several times over, however, to the point where she can now mix and match minds and bodies to alter her prey's form, personality or mental capacity before releasing them. Generally, every time she takes something in, she makes plans to release it or something else at a later time. She can take in prey with no definite timetable for release, but for the sake of RP and out of respect for others' characters, indefinite containment will only be done with NPCs and swarm characters.

She can also temporarily draw individual bodies out of the tail while keeping the souls within, allowing some of her choice picks to serve as her familiars. Again, this will only be done with NPCs -- no character that is the intellectual property of another will ever have their body and soul deliberately separated as such.

The Tail of Ages
This tail imbued centuries of knowledge into Verity's mind and soul. She is now both telepathic and telekinetic. Combined with her Tail of Mercy, she can alter the minds of the spirits stored inside the tail, and combined with her Tail of Murder, she can phase, not just in and out of the spirit realm, but into the subconsciousness of other living things, literally enabling her to step into your dreams.

Also, if an individual is capable of any supernatural powers of their own, Verity can store them into her Tail of Mercy and, with this tail, tap into said individual's mind/soul and borrow those powers for herself. Verity's white stripes change colors when she is tapping into one of her occupants as such.

The spirit of this tail rarely manifests as it is humiliated beyond all recognition to have been absorbed by Verity, though she owes much of her present level of respect and maturity to the experience and clarity she received from it.

If the spirit manifests in any way at all, it would have to be when the usually sweet and submissive skunk suddenly starts looking down on someone else (typically only something she REALLY CAN look down on, like a little kid or a small furry animal). The usually pet-like skitsune may suddenly decide she'd like a pet for herself.

The Tail of Sorrow
Last, but certainly not least, this tail acts is her failsafe -- her literal safeguard against death. The spirit of this tail is not of one mind with Verity and cannot be tapped into at will. It instead acts independently of Verity and is fully devoted to Verity's well being, allowing her to withstand conditions that would be otherwise fatal to anyone else, or even to reform completely if need be. Even predators who attempt to absorb Verity's soul will not be able to prevent her from reforming.

The spirit operates independently of Verity's will, but acts as something of a guardian angel / imaginary friend to Verity. It can supposedly be seen by other beings who are open to the supernatural, but even then only if the guardian allows itself to be seen.

Present:
--------------------

Verity works for the D.A.M.I. (Defense Against Macrofur Invasion), a division of the United Nations Peacekeepers in her timeline. By extension, she also works for the P.S.L. (Predatory Slave Liberation), an organization not directly affiliated with the U.N. but of which many D.A.M.I. personnel are also members. Verity's last owner and self-proclaimed adoptive father had also been a member of these two organizations, so when her freedom was legally granted, she followed in his proverbial footsteps.

As a nine-tailed (half-)fox, Verity is specifically employed in the organizations' joint subdivision, the S.A. (Special Associates, also known as the Supernatural Agents), the same subdivision to which the immortal, Terastas, belonged. Since she is technically just as much an immortal as he had been, Verity is considered very much to be one of the top agents, and the many talents of her tails has allowed her to become a jack of all trades as well.

Verity's first job with the S.A. was in their "witness protection" program. Because she can absorb a seemingly infinite number of people, body and soul, into her Tail of Mercy and keep them inside her forever if need be, the S.A. has employed Verity as their maximum security prison; everyone they wanted to never be seen again, they gave to Verity.

She's officially here in the Park to assist in Terastas's reconnaissance project, but she also experiments here with her own version of "rehabilitation." She keeps herself busy (and entertains herself) by catching and eating ferals in the Park and its surrounding forests, which she mixes and matches with the ones she already has until she can release her prisoners as harmless ferals into the wild.

Verity will also combine the pure, innocent souls of the ferals with the former minds and bodies of anthro prisoners, provided, at least, that she can find someone willing to look after them. The only dilemma of giving an untainted feral soul a human-level sentience is that they typically won't know what to do with that sentience except to be loyal to and dependent on someone else that has it. Verity enjoys having pets and playmates for herself, but her first impulse upon acquiring one is always to gulp it down and put it in her Tail of Mercy, so creating and releasing such a being for herself would be pointlessly redundant. She will, however, entertain all requests for custom-made companions from her friends. Provided, of course, that they promise to be nice to them.

Preferences:
--------------------

I know a lot of people don't like referring to the bars, but please do so for my sake. I'll make it easier though by giving a little rough translation of what they mean.

First, I don't know if I did it right or not, but for the pred side, I listed the preferences when I am playing Verity as a pred, not what I like from a pred when I'm playing as prey. If that was done wrong, I apologize, but until I get notification from an admin otherwise, that's how it is.

As for percentages, consider them to mean something like this:
100 / 90% = If you can string a coherent sentence together and say something more interesting than "Here I am, please don't eat me," I'll do it.
90 / 75% = Most likely, but I can think of maybe just a few instances where that'll irk me, so please ask first.
75 / 35% = Occasionally, but only when I'm in the mood for it.
35 / 15% = I'm curious, but not exactly eager to try it. Might require a few sessions before I consider it.
15% / 0% = I don't necessarily like it, but I don't mind it either. Ask first and use in moderation.
0% / -15% = Disliked, but there might be some rare exceptions to the rule. Definitely ask first.
-15% / -50% = Close friends only.
-50% / -85% = Attempted scenes only.
-85% -100% = Over my hacked account and/or dead body.
