Trying to become the best is rough, especially when you've got big shoes to fill.
Vinn's dad, Vincent Sr., was an outstanding trainer and an equally outstanding father. He had a way with pokemon that few could ever seem to have, even being able to befriend the most stubborn of creatures and accomplish feats believed to be near impossible! He was a living legend, a role model for other trainers to follow. And who better to learn from him than his own son?
There was a problem though. Vinn never really got to know his father all too well, who had fallen sick not too long after Vinn's mother started showing signs of her pregnancy. For the first few months it wasn't that bad, with only a light fever and a cough every so often; but as the months piled on and eventually the years added up as well, Vincent was looking worse and worse. By the time little Vinn, named after his father, was two his father passed away.
Tldr: smol trainer boye, 4'5" tall, who wants to live up to his father's legend, but isn't always so great at being a trainer.
