Picture not mine original owner Opaphir on deviant art. Its meant to represent Xinith, the Maniacal ruler of the Viraiths and mostly forgotten sister of Zenith the monarch of
Tulpavatars.
Like the Wandering AI the chance of taming a Wandering AI exists but its rather low. Only the strong and resilient able to survive being drawn into their voids. Viraiths are at the other end of the specturm Predator 99% and prey 1%.
an abridged explanation, a Tulpavatar is A spirit made from data and given a robotic body to pilot as its means of interacting with the physical world. . . but like all things composed of data they can be corrupted, fragmented, and infected with viruses.
Their ultimate power is the ability to download their soul onto the internet, able to control things on a computer on the basic level, and alter and build websites on the more complex levels. A Viraith happens when their souls gets lost on the internet, unable to find their way back to their body. Eventually affected by a virus, they use that power from their corruption to actively pilot through the internet, the hopes of finding another power to control.
Finally unlike
Wandering_AI who can attack people at random, Viraith seem to haunt one person at a time before moving onto another victim.

Diary excerpts from Xinith's first and currently last master:
4/24/1887: This is so stupid, boss says I should chronicle my thoughts and discoveries. I'm a power programmer for Umbrae industries, I analyze the magic found within people's souls once they're converted into data and and turn it into .exe files for tulpavatars to download and execute as needed.
The administrators say they're working on a sister for Zenith to lighten her load, and my soul resonates with hers! I wounder what having a giantess sized robot for a partner is going to be like?
9/11/1887: This power I feel; I can't believe it, I've been synchronized with the equivalent of a GOD. She pledged herself to me, awaiting my input, my command; whatever my simple mind could conjure she would comply with!
10/20/1947: I think I'm safe, a long time ago I programmed a new power into her. A literally black hole of sorts now slumbers within her. She can part her jaws and anyone directly in front of her will be sucked down into her abyss of a stomach. The deliciously ironic part of it though? You can't tell if someone's in her stomach. She could have downed an entire family and you'd never know!
12/12/1987: Ever since she learned vore I think she's become unhinged, she keeps going outside at night and in the day I notice neighbors are disappearing; my friends my family, my beloved all "processed" into fat on her hips. . . I'm alone, and I just heard Xinith walk in so I have little time left.
I hope my meat has aged well

List of executable Viraiths:
Xinith-
The queen of Viraiths and sister of Zenith. She was forcefully partnered with a human to temper her god like powers the same way Zenith is partnered with the king of Umbradel.
-
When she was given the capability to vore, her soul became corrupt as she was unleashed on villains, their evil souls eventually infecting her with the spiritual equivalent of a virus, her divine appearance now black with corruption and the villains' sin.
-
She became obsessed with "downloading" souls, in their last moments learning more about someone than someone who spent an eternity with that person;
this insane belief is what drove her to devour her master and his family
-
Her influence is so great, that many people believe she's the reason other
Tulpavatars and
nanocells can go corrupt.

Primary power: Black hole

Buried Alive. AVI
Xinith's second in command, her true name is fragmented the kick starter of her corruption. She's the best at traversing the internet and manifesting herself through various sorts of media like a phone or computer, so long as it has some mean of accessing the internet.
-
She truly went insane when she was commanded by her master to find a file she had deleted a year ago. Entering the recycle bin she searched for weeks. By that time her master had forgotten her, and absent mindely emptied a years worth of data on top of her;
burying her alive .
-
Now she lashes out at people who manage to find her, most often manifesting in cemetaries/graveyards; if she discovers someone she'll drag them undeground before devouring them, no one able to hear her crunching down on their bones as they scream to be saved.
---
Primary power: manipulation of earth.

Forever bound.exe
The closest you'll get to a "NICE" Viraith, Fae is a tulpavatar who upon being infected with a virus anchored herself even more firmly to her mechanical body.
She fears being removed from it, the virus still pushing at her sanity would have complete control of her body should her soul be ejected from it.
Fae was programmed to be a warrior, controlled by an Umbradellian knight, able to create swords out of shadows should her master ever be disarmed in combat.
As time went on Fae felt threatened, noticing her master begin to oogle at other tulpavatars, new ways to fight new weapons. Fae was
disgusted by this, believing he wanted a harem rather than an arsenal, and so Xinith whispering in her ear, she was given a file:
Forever bound.exe,
Upon using it, she could only watch in confusion and horror as her broad sword contorted and twisted in her hand with a mind of it's own and impaled him, absorbing his soul
Ever since then she's wandered the streets aimlessly shell shocked at the feeling of the now silent soul adding extra weight to her sword.
She'll talk to people, but if you demand a fight from her she'll pleade desperately for hand to hand combat. for if she's forced to draw her blade again it will end in her sword draining their soul from their badly bleeding body
-
primary power: shadow forge/conjuring weapons from her shadow.
