About Marina:

Most adventurers travel the world looking for fame and fortune. Marina, however, is not most adventurers. She wanders the land searching for something special-- Something irreplaceable, she says. Whatever it is, it's proven quite elusive as she's spent centuries now roaming from one end of the world to the other and she doesn't seem any closer to her goal. True to her title, the witch wanders from place to place in her enchanted wagon and selling her magical services to make ends meet on the road. All things considered, though, she doesn't seem to mind her lot in life too much and until her long journey comes to an end, she's content to see the world, take on odd jobs, and have some nice meals along the way...

Marina can be a hard woman to get a clear read on. Her polite, soft-spoken, and almost scholarly demeanor forms a strange duality with her sultry aura and flirtatious tendencies. Stranger still are the witch's... Eating habits. Marina is a predator through and through, though relatively harmless. It's purely the thrill of the hunt and the sense of empowerment that drives the witch-- Using her natural charm to lure even the most stoic of prey and knowing she could melt them away in minutes if the fancy took her. That said, nearly every one of Marina's meals walks free once both parties have had their fun. However, there is the occasional individual who offers their life in the throes of passion and, if they beg hard enough, who is Marina to deny such generosity~?

It's also important to keep in mind that while Marina is quite benign as witches go, she's still just that: A witch. Not merely a practitioner of magic, but a woman who sold her soul for incredible power. Marina can be extraordinarily dangerous when push comes to shove and she harbors a little bit of a dark side. Though it's her goal to do more good for the world than harm, those who anger her are often the targets of vicious curses and in some cases, just disappear without a trace.

Marina has been at this witch thing for... Well, a very long time. It should come as no surprise that she's developed a considerable number of skills and abilities. The witch's repertoire includes...

Hexes: What really sets witches apart from wizards and sorcerers. Hexes are fueled by the wicked power bestowed upon a witch in exchange for her soul. Though hexes come in many forms, most are meant to cause misfortune and suffering in the form of curses.

Combat Magic: Your standard array of elemental spells, protecting wards, and the like. Nothing particularly special here, but centuries of study have left Marina more than ready to throw down if need be.

Healing Magic: Though most wouldn't guess it, Marina is a highly gifted healer capable of mending even the most grievous wounds with ease. Though the witch aims to use this gift to the benefit of others, she has on occasion used it to prolong the suffering of an unwilling meal...

Prehensile Hair: A somewhat old (and to some outdated) charm that a witch can use to magically animate her hair. Marina is quite fond of this one for its practical applications ranging from an extra hand or six while working to restraining prey.

Potions Brewing: Marina considers this her specialty as well as her primary source of income. A potion's nature as a one time use, self-contained spell makes it a very easy product to market and sell.

Fortune Telling: Always a nifty way to pick up a little quick cash, but buyer beware! Don't blame her for misfortune to come!
