Wandering_Link

Link from the Legend of Zelda, but probably not as you generally expect him. This is a more reserved, serious, stoic Link, inspired by the artwork of Katsuya Terada for the first four games in the series (Legend of Zelda, Adventure of Link, Link to the Past, and Link's Awakening).

Link is not a native to the lands he saves. He is a wanderer, a lost hero in search of adventure. He comes and goes as he is needed, never staying for long once his just mission is completed. Chosen by the gods to keep evil at bay, he is reincarnated over the ages to ensure the world's survival, though at great risk and peril to himself and those he cares for.

His talents are many: musically inclined, athletic, archery, a sharp and quick thinker. He's sensitive and reserved, though with a sense of humor at times when the situation calls for it. He's generally mute, perhaps selectively, perhaps bilogically, though exceptions do occur on occasion. His sword is magical, able to use his own life force to channel bursts of magic from the tip so long as he is in top condition, and his rucksack carries many other valuable tools as well.

A bow and some arrows for hunting on the road, or for facing enemies off at a safe distance. A hammer for breaking through tough armor, or just for breaking through rocks that block the road ahead. A lantern to light dark paths and caverns... as well as an improvised burn weapon in a pinch. A book of spells, which allow him to perform many various feats such as recovering stamina, leaping great heights, protecting himself from harm, dispelling curses. Magic boots for traversing unstable terrain, a simple flute on which he plays music both folksie and otherworldly. A selection of healing salves and potions as well, for when under the weather or to recover from greivous wounds.

At any rate, he's here now, wherever here is. Maybe he'll meet some interesting new friends - or terrible new enemies.
