What is a Pipintus?

The Pipintus are minor spirits of the forest, bound to the trees, not everyone can see them, only the users of magic or open-minded people are able to notice them.
These small-sized spirits ( average height:1,31 feet ) are recognizable by their big golden eyes and their strawberries colored skin. Deprived of any power but the knowledge of the forest, the pipintus are considered as the the advisors of the forest.
Being spirits under physical shape, if a pipintu dies, he will reform a short time later near his tree.

Little Known Facts

because they seems to emit a strong spiritual energy, many magic users keep them as a companion in order to increase their powers. But sadly many unscrupulous people tend to capture and keep them in captivity to profit their energy. Even worse, some people eat them to steal all their vital and spiritual energy, significantly strengthening their magical powers.
They also usually behave as child and are emotionally fragile, they get scared easily and tend to cry when confronted to a threat.
Those little critters usually sleeps for like 12h hours per night, they also nap often in the daytime. If you awake a pipintus, he'll be groggy and disoriented for a while.
Most of them are also attracted to shiny stuff, especially golden things.


These small beings are generally frightened by the human beings, because of their general contempt for the nature but in the opposite, they get along very well with animals and other creatures of the forest. If they are confronted to a predator, they usually; 1) Climb to the nearest tree 2) if there are no trees around, try to coax their opponent.

Personnality

As most of his congeners, he is of a peaceful and curious nature, however if he finds himself cornered he may bite, but his tiny fangs are not very sharp... He's also quite friendly (except for humans) and energetic. It does not take much to impress or amuse him.
like many pinpitus, he can be extremely talkative, do not ask him questions about the forest or you'll regret it !
