WinterMoon

This is an alt of Voices_Of_Raven.

WinterMoon rarely gives his name. It refers to the "wolf moon" in the depths of winter, when the air is cold and still, prey is scarce, and wild canids are at their most dangerous.

You're much more likely to know him simply as Coyote. He'll claim, or imply, or deny (as it suits his fancy) that he's THE Coyote in all those Native legends.

He's definitely some kind of mage, anyway. Probably. Maybe. Or not.

Appearance

Like any coyote, his fur is mottled and patterned in grey, black and browns. Around average height, not huge, not especially muscular, but well toned and overall in excellent shape. His face is fine featured and he is really quite androgynous, narrow of waist, wide in the hips.

He wears hawk, eagle, or raven feathers strung from the fur on the back of his head and a narrow leather belt from which to hang a small medicine bag and a leather sling.

Abilities
He knows quite a bit of magic, but how much is unclear.

He's great at disappearing, and seems to apply some magic to his skill as a manipulator.

He is also a shapeshifter. Perhaps an important little detail. First and foremost, he can completely change genders at will. He claims to be able to turn into many other animals, but good luck finding any witnesses.

Incidentally, he knows how to use that sling quite well.

Personality

He's the ultimate trickster. He could sell snake oil to a snake. He WILL talk you into something, or otherwise take advantage of you. It doesn't matter how clever you think you are or how far you think ahead, he's better. He delights in besting people far more powerful himself by being smarter than they are.

((Note, getting successfully screwed with is pretty much a prerequisite for playing with this character.))

He tends to be a bit greedy, and is always out to get for himself. He has no problem stealing, or, when wandering around Nexus, tricking someone into becoming his next meal.

However, his intelligence has evolved into quite a bit of wisdom. He often uses his skills to deliver painful lessons. If he decides he likes you, that's not going to stop him from sending you up the river without a paddle, it just means he won't fill the canoe with rocks.

He might have ADHD. He's manic, living on a permanent emotional high. Nothing gets to him, ever. The world is an exciting and beautiful place and he wants to explore it all.
