Memory something people cherish. Something people try to hold onto. Winter however feels its a pain and she wishes there were days she could just forget everything. Winter was born with a gift a photographic memory, it stays within her mind forever, something people think is amazing but as the saying goes "ignorance is bliss". Winter feels this strongly due to events that just haven't gone her way. Her mother walked out on her and her father when she was barely two years old, she remembered the fights, the drinking, the yelling at how her father and Winter ruined her life. But those days without a mother in her life are the best days of her life. They were poor sure, but she didn't need anything fancy, her dad was kind and made time for him. And he found just how quick of a learner she was when she picked up some skills at a very young age to help around the house as much as she was allowed to. She was happy, but her father always felt Winter deserved more, and that was when he met her.

River Reese, CEO of Reese Inc. passed down through her family, a top company whose name no doubt you've seen especially recently in the fashion and technology industry. Her father was just a janitor working at the headquarters she had never gave him the time of day. That was until he saved her life when an crazed ex-employee came to get revenge in an attempt to run her over. Her father saw what was about to happen and pulled her out of the way. At least that is the story. Supposedly it was then she fell in love, she gave him a promotion at first and raise, moving him and Winter out of the slum like apartment. But then it went further, they went on dates, and news spread like wildfire. Winter saw her dad less and less but Winter didn't worry, if anything she thought River would grow bored with him and things would go back to normal. But she was very wrong.

The media went crazy, eating up the story and the couple, "Our own Modern Day Fairytale" it was called and business only grew for the better to see River with a regular guy, a guy who saved her, and seemingly truly in love. It was no wonder they got married in only a year. And that is when things truly changed. Some would think for the better correct? Perhaps but for Winter it was the beginning of hell. The mansion was so big and wasteful, she was forced out of her old school into a private one, but worse was how much River overstepped and her father did nothing! Forced to skip grades once River learned how smart Winter was, into lessons after lessons, grooming her, trying to tame her into the image of her desire. And parade her around at parties and events, she'd recite War and Peace cover to cover so many times, and repeat things like a parrot. She just never got rest...school, clubs, afterschool lessons, a party, a gala, an event, and only then would she sleep for maybe four hours till having to repeat it. River made Winter go on rediculous diets to make her more beautiful, make her the ideal perfect child that she just loved to show off. Winter was given no choices and her dad no longer on her side. Alone.

So of course its no wonder how she turned out like she is. Winter is cold, and trusts people very little, especially women and authority. She runs away at any chance she can get. She is determined to get out of River's clutches and make her own life. River keeps a tight leash even after Winter has become a legal adult. But Winter has a plan. She claims she doesn't want friends but truly deep down she does, she's alone, her cold heart can melt just depends if anyone is willing to try.
