"It'd be a lot less scary if they were only hungry for your blood!"
- Obligatory Superstitious Old Man, Every RPG
The Wives of Bacchus are an all-'female' clan of vampires who, desiring even more strength than undeath could offer, fed heavily from demonkind until they began to acquire nether powers themselves. The clan's members take after their namesakes (derived from the frenzied, wild women of classical mythology) and can normally be found stalking forests, caves and other wild areas with plenty of shade. Though the clan is predominantly female, expression among the members of hermaphroditic or shemale phenotype is not uncommon at all. The tallest among them rarely reaches 5'8", but one must not underrate their power based on their physical size. Vampiric strength and other minor powers are present in each member of the clan, with additional powers learned based on the relative age of the clan member.
Neophyte: Strength, Bat Transformation, Flight, Telepathy
Acolyte: Speed, Water Walking, Invisibility, Dominating Gaze (Hypnosis), Gender/Shape-Shifting, Pyromancy
Greater: Holy Artifact Resistance, Spellcasting, Mist Transformation, Demon Summoning
Ancient: Daywalking, Artifact Immunity, Spell Resistance, Psionics (Telekinesis, Mind-Reading etc.)
Matriarch: Spell Immunity
These powers are not gained like levels in an RPG. The more powerful a vampiress is in her classification, the closer to attaining one or more of the higher-up skills she will be. For example, a powerful Neophyte might have most of the speed of an Acolyte-rank vampire, and a powerful Ancient vampire may be nearly immune to spells.
As a whole, the Wives of Bacchus are difficult to do battle against. Vampires of Acolyte rank and below can be killed by staking or by digestion (though they can be returned with a great deal of effort by the Matriarch, most are not worth it), though Acolytes are not by any means easy pickings. Greater vampires and above must be staked, as Mist Transformation enables them to escape a predator's stomach, and the Matriarch herself is virtually un-killable, as she will reconstitute from the barest of remains.
The Wives have not been too large a threat to sentient-kind so far. They do not discriminate much when it comes to where their blood comes from, and often prefer to keep to their wild orgies of feeding and heated sex in the caverns under
The Spine of the World and the darker forests of the elven lands (preying on animals for food and eachother for...satisfaction) than risk war against large forces of sentients.
Specific Character: Lillabeth (
Lillabeth)
The 'ambassador' of the Wives of Bacchus, Lillabeth is one of the Matriarch's most powerful and most trusted Ancient vampires.
OOC
This is basically a request character. Pred/Prey, female/shemale/herm, tailcocks, multiple vampires, pretty much anything if you ask for it. If I do not receive any requests, I will usually play with Lillabeth. Ancient vampires and higher are strictly pred. Greater vampires are about 80% pred and Acolytes about 60%. Neophyte vampires are 40% pred and 60% prey. Sex is always good, in all its various forms and with about any fetish out there - especially rape/reluctance. If I'm not in the mood to do something on a certain day, I'll let you know, but I usually like most things. If I have a long string of being prey, though, I might want to play pred for a while. If I'm open for requests I'll leave my status to LFRP. Open means I'm already IC with a character and if you want to play with her you should ask me what she's up to. IC means I'm...IC, and busy, and OOC is much along the same lines. That should clear up any problems in advance, I hope... However, I don't normally IM-RP. I'll add you to my MSN if I've gotten to know you in here, but other than that I prefer to keep my privacy. As a final note, please send me PM's OOCly at first, if you want to negotiate a scene. Approaching me ICly in tells confuses me.
