Unlike most demons who seek to feed on desire, pain and sin, Wormhole feels accomplished helping others travel between places. She's a rare breed of imp, unable to harvest suffering from mortals properly and instead bound to serve other imps, getting paid a fraction of what they were able to gather. She's able to navigate between the planes of existence easily, unlike regular demons who must waste their energy opening short-living portals. Wormhole uses a special system of 'crawlspaces', rips in the very fabric of space that allow her to take trips to the mortal world. This has caused more trouble than good, and not uncommon were the times when she was mistaken for an alien or legendary creatures. Who's to judge the people, though? Her lack of eyes, small stature and wide mouth makes Wormhole a rather spooky creature to stumble upon in the middle of the night.
Truth is, the imp seeks no harm to mortals, despite her demonic origins. She perceives them as something a bit more than a simple source of sin. She curiously watches them from afar, sometimes even pulling pranks on them. The keys you lost? Might be somewhere around in Hell. Cat knocked stuff out of the shelf while you were away? Maybe it wasn't the cat at all! Her affinity toward mortals can lead to positive outcomes. She's known to ferry some people from a place to another in a matter of seconds.
Wormhole isn't harmless, though. Should she find herself in trouble she cannot escape from, she can perform a powerful bite that can tear through metal. And if that somehow doesn't work, a blast of molten lava from deep within her tiny body incinerates the threat completely.
Wormhole's Ferrying Service
Wormhole is used by both mortals and demons to move in and between the planes of existance. Her mouth can stretch to ungodly sizes so creatures up to a certain size can fit. The interesting part is what comes after her maw. Instead of a proper esophagus, her gullet leads to a pocket dimension where her customer can rest while Wormhole crawls from place to place. The dimension is presented as a simple waiting room, with a size-adjustable bed, couch, magazines and a supply of snacks (Sulphur-flavored, made by and for demons. Wormhole's Ferrying Service doesn't take responsability for any cases of poisoning, burnt throat or eventual death of mortals.)
Annoying customers will be kicked out, and should they resist, force will be used. Dangerous individuals will be stripped of their possessions and kicked out of the pocket dimension, going down to her actual stomach. They will be let out if they survive the trip.
