Wraith

"I'm so tired. It feels like I've been walking for a lifetime, barefoot through these rough, unforgiving forest paths. Sometimes I seem to find some respite, to wake up from this nightmare for a brief moment, and find myself in the loving arms of a friend. But all too soon the nightmare begins again; lost, alone, exhausted. I just want to go home. But I don't even know what home is."

The being known as Wraith first appeared about two years ago, wandering on her own along a deep wooded path. From all that has been gathered however, it was as if she appeared out of nothingness mid-stride, a fact that she herself seems to be wholly unaware of. At that moment she was clothed normally, and for all intents and purposes, appeared to be a normal human human girl of about twenty. It seems however, with time, that her size has decreased, at first sharply with mood or overall health, but in most cases at this point her height is rareley seen above two inches. Though scare reports would say otherwise.

Truthfully unknown to herself, and most casual observers, Wraith has long shuffled off the mortal coil, and is simply a wandering lost soul, though her refusal to accept her own death is so strong that she has found herself capable of somehow manifesting a physical body of her own from whatever debris and moisture she can come across in her travels. Due to her own weak spirit, this more often than not causes her to manifest at a rather diminutive stature, but the entire process is more of a reflexive action for her, and even she is perplexed at her newfound micro-status. Still, she has adapted fairly well.

Curiously, there are a number who would claim to have met Wraith, and in rare cases even claim to live with, or look after her for a time, and some of these stories may even seem to conflict. There even are rare mentions of an actual, flesh and blood Wraith wandering around somewhere...
