Xiao is the corporeal manifestation of beauty and the beast. Her biology is far different than many standard spiders, given that she was bred as a weapon. Sensuality, eroticism, and a never-ending hunger composes this arachnid seductress. From the waist up, she has the body of a beautiful woman. Blushing cheeks and snow white locks sprawled along the rosy, glowing flesh are designed to draw her prey closer. A bashful, stammering behavior is made to lower the guard of her prey, distracting from the danger that lies within the shadows. Outside of the concealing safety that the shadows offer, the woman poses no threat, which is why she will try to keep to the darkness that will allow her to change. Within the shadows lies the body of a large spider. Skittering legs press against the ground, the tips like blunted hooks to harmlessly pull her hapless prey closer to her body. The underside of her abdomen is yet another hidden danger. Amidst the silver hair that runs along the spider's underbelly, there is an odd, scented glow. Within her body, she produces pheromones that are released through thousands of small pores all along the underside of her belly, meant to act as an aphrodisiac to stun and prevent her prey from fleeing from her. If her meal does manage to escape, Xiao-Yu will often rely on her next defensive weapon. Within her form, she is able to produce a special type of silk. Thickly woven together upon production, she is able to produce silk with the tensile strength to rival even steel. If a prey is caught within the iron grip of the silk release, she will generally follow up pulling her prey closer to them, essentially encasing them in an iron cage of soft silk, unbreakable save for by the strongest of strong men. A prey ensnared within Xiao-Yu's webbing will then undergo an intense scrutinization by the arachnid. Never one to miss a meal, or allow her food to best her, Xiao will review the work of her prey in great detail. From the tenseness of the muscles, she can observe if her meal is still struggling. The facial muscles of her meal can detail whether or not her prey is still contemplating how to escape, as well as whether or not her prey is attempting to falsify their submission to her. If her prey is found to falsify their submission, Xiao-Yu will proceed to move her snared meal, forcing them under the heaving underbelly and into the enticing mist that is created by her pheromones. Contrary to appearance, she is not at all a patient creature, and will not tolerate her prey struggling beyond a reasonable degree. Once she has assumed that her prey has submitted entirely, or if her prey has taken far too long to give in, their next step will be the belly of the beast. Gaping jaws and a slavering tongue greet her new found meal. Her saliva is laced with a shrinking agent, compacting every portion of her meal's body simultaneously as it begins to cover the food. A small bit of tongue play to lather her meal is all that it really takes to make even the most foreboding prey bite-size. This makes the trip down the flume of her throat more roomy, and less consigning to her prey's body. Due to the varying levels of saliva coverage, it can take anywhere from two to ten minutes for her shrunken prey to reach her stomach from the flume of her gullet. Human appearance varies quite a bit from her spider's body. Contrary to her beastly half, she has pale, buttery smooth skin. Her face is pale as well, almost ghostly white. It can only be assumed that her appearance is meant to resemble the haunting pale color of a geisha. To those she cares for, she exudes innocence and mercy; to those she hates, she exudes a hellish intent. Cherry lips contrast the ghostly complexion of her skin, which in itself also contrasts against the silky, flowing columns of hair that frame her cheeks. Her head sits upon a thin neck, stretching out upon broad shoulders. Her arms are slender, just as her hands and fingers. Meant to portray innocence and sensuality, she maintains a calm posture most of the time, not wishing to give any intimations of her true intentions. Though Xiao can maintain a fully human state outside of the shadows, she is extremely vulnerable. Unexperienced in any sort of combat, she attacks from the shadows to draw her prey in and feed. Oddly, she is able to release her prey after consumption. Their body is recreated at a safe distrance from her, the arachnid's body only retaining scant few vitamins and minerals from them as they are released, which would more than likely explain why they wake up in a hazed and confused state, much like someone first waking up from an abrupt nap. Meant simply to seduce and consume, Xiao-Yu takes a moral stance against killing. Realizing that attacking from the shadows is a rather weak form of ambush and subduction, she is vowed not to take the life of any prey that enters her touch or her jaws. Even if her prey refuses to submit, she will not go so far as to take their life. Her punishment, in this case, is to take away the comfort that her prey would normally feel upon entering and resting within her by means of swallowing, slight constricting of the throat, and roughly churning her stomach. When in a human state, brought about by being fully exposed to sunlight without traces of shadows, Xiao is left entirely defenseless. This form is generally only used when she is attempting to give herself the guise of innocence or when she is stalking a prey over a distance greater than immediate eye shot. Due to her fully human state, and a lack of any abilities that the spider portion of her body offers, she is left vulnerable to consumption. Oddly enough, she does also have a bit of a curiosity as to what it is like to be consumed, simply wishing to find out what she sends her prey through. Pred to Prey Ratio [Human]: 10/90 Due to the recent purification of Xiao's tome, she has grown to learn new abilities, which will be added as time progresses. Currently, she only knows one new ability from the book, though study will bring new abilities into light and increase her capacity to use these hidden strengths. Phase Shift Xiao is temporarily able to distort time and reality in a thirty yard bubble around herself, shifting out of phase with the reality of the present world. Within this pseudoreality, she is able to bend the environment to her whims. The environment within this bubbled reality could only be considered as toxic- filled with hallucinogenic pheromones. As a result, Xiao is almost indirectly able to control the reality that those caught within the bubble experience through manipulation of the hallucination. Current Ability Level: Intermediate.
