BACKGROUND
Xylonia is a naga of a particularly nasty temperament. There are but two things she loves in this world; feasting upon young maidens and amassing treasure.

Xylonia is rather clever, but it is the cold sort of cleverness of those that create wicked things rather then beautiful things. She creates no art, no beauty herself, for she is incapable of such, and covets these things above all others because of this. Her covetousness leads her to petty and cruel acts, and if she cannot obtain that which she desires, she seeks to actively despoil or destroy it so that none may have it. While she does not make things, she does set traps with which to snare potential victims as she disdains a 'fair' fight and turns her cleverness towards gaining any advantage that she can over others. While she prefers not to employ brute force as a first option, she does not shy away from employing it if needed (especially if she feels it will be an effective way to achieve her aims).

Xylonia is not above petty banditry and has been known to range far and wide to hunt. She is more likely to attack out of greed then out of hunger, though she does find humans and fae to be particularly delightful creatures to consume. Typically, she will seek to waylay a caravan in some fashion, then ambush and slay the guards before carrying off any valuables or young maidens. She has a particular fondness for jewelry and precious stones, as well as trinkets she can adorn herself with. If available, she favors yellow gemstones (the more valuable, the better, of course) because they match her eyes. In addition, she has been observed to wear bits of clothing in imitation of other races, though she is incapable of making them herself.

What Xylonia can not possess she will kill, despoil, or destroy as she is able. The happiness of others is almost antithetic to her, sending her into quiet, jealous rages in which she plots ruin and revenge for the perceived slight against her. Generally, her revenge is short-term and if a potential target is able to leave the area before she can strike, the odds are overwhelmingly good that she won't chase them. While she is quick to anger, she's just as quick to dismiss, and rarely plots in the long term unless something she finds particularly odious makes itself a persistent feature in her territory... for example, a noble building a cabin near her waterfall, or a trapper scaring away the local game over a period of weeks.
