There once was a proud, powerful race of warriors known as the Saiyan (or Saiyajin for the purists out there), who once lived on the planet Vegeta. Said planet... blew up, thus reducing the population to a few in particular that luckily weren't on the planet at the time. The fate of those Saiyans is a whole 'nother, incredibly long story...

...If the Saiyan race is incredibly endangered, it makes you wonder where the heck the Time Patrol finds them all.

Yarrow was brought into the Time Patrol to protect history and bring temporal criminals to justice. Of course, any Saiyan would jump at the chance to be able to fight any and all of the strongest fighters not just in the univerese, but throughout history! But Yarrow also has other reasons. She's a bit of a tourist, wanting to see the sights and sampling the local dining inbetween missions, along with the occasional challenge whenever a promising opponent is near. Exploring new horizons while saving time itself sounds like a pretty good deal. The only rough spot is her occasional partner...

While Saiyans aren't known for being the nicest folk around (...well, aside from that Goku kid, Vegeta's brother, and the Universe 6 Saiyans), Yarrow's actually quite the sweetheart, though she can also get a bit carried away in a friendly fight. ...She's also got a weakness for kids. Maybe she wants to be a mother one day?
