Yasmine_Mermaid

From the day she was born, Yasmine was told that she would end up dead. Whether it be from a fellow hungry mermaid, or some land creature, she was told she was destined to be a meal. Everyone believed her small frame and lack of razor sharp teeth to be signs that she was prey. And the poor mermaid believed that, right up until the day she herself devoured someone.

That someone was actually a bully from the school of mermaids she swam with, one of the larger, more buxom mermaids. She always ate her fill and was in talks of becoming one of the guards of their school, even if she was a little rough with the civilians. well it came time for poor Yasmine to be devoured, and the smaller mermaid wouldn't go down without a fight. For while she's not the biggest or strongest mermaid, she was fast.

After a fight between the two of them, Yasmine ended up the victor, digesting her fellow mermaid within her fishy belly. But instead of people praising her for finally sticking up for herself and downing her first meal, they were angry for killing their newest protector. She was banished from their tribe, forced to wander.

She decided to go to the surface, with the intent of shipwrecking boats and devouring the men inside when she herself was nommed by a whale. She figured it was the end for her when she was blown from the blowhole, landing in a lake within the park, where she can usually be found nowadays.


Anatomy
Being a mermaid, her body functions quite differently than you would expect. From this, she has some "abilities"
-Yasmine can suck things towards herself from about 20 feet away, a handy trick she learned to nab fish from a distance
-She'd not a dolphin, but she is part mammal, and, like all undersea mammals, she has echolocation abilities. This ranges from using it to find her way around to sonic screams, loud enough to damage your ears. Hurts above the surface, can be devastating bellow.
-Since her entire lower half is a big, muscled tail, Yasmine can swim at great speeds, change direction at top speed, and even use it to fight. She was onced attacked underwater by a giant lizard and managed to whip her body around, cracking his neck with a good smack. She can use the same tail to cause water to swirl around in a mini-current/whirlpool, good for disorienting someone
-Given that sometimes, your regular teeth dont get the job done, she can sharpen hers into pointier teeth. Like a fish's! She was a late bloomer.
-When she laughs too hard, she starts blowing bubbles. Ones that float in the air. when they pop, a little "teehee!" is heard. She doesnt even know why.



So ya, basically she's a mermaid. she loves to have fun, and is both pred and prey, depending on how strong her opponent is. She can easily live in fresh or salt water. i'm good with almost anything, so please, don't hesitate to say hi! ^_^
