No one is quite sure where Yazhu came from or how she knew so much about the Red Jade triad, she was simply the cute piece of ass that Boss Fok had picked up while bar-hopping and many of his officers rolled their eyes at how Fok doted on 'his little tigeress' or how smitten Yazhu was with him. There was some age gap between the two, but most figured it was a combination of true infatuation but also the power that Fok had that drew Yazhu in and soon enough they announced their engagement. Not long after, the two were happily wed.
That night, Yazhu murdered Fok and his closest supporters in cold blood, assuming control of Red Jade for fear of following through on the violent example she had just set. Most were appalled by her actions but she proved to be a ruthless and effective leader, padding her aubordinates' pockets to lessen their concerns with how she had ended up in charge by appealing to their base natures. Greed, in sufficient quantities, beats out loyalty and Fok had lead them all to lean times. Yazhu lead them out of it and for that, she earned their loyalty and their respect.
Getting the police to offer the Red Jade protection was the next big step, by acquiring crucial black mail on the chief of police was the first step. What of? No one knows and Yazhu only smiles when asked about it. A time of new prosperity for a newly revitalized dark society, with an enigmatic new head of the organization that operates with ruthless effectiveness and an eye for appeasing her own...wants and desires.

Lunaara: A useless, fluffy mutt that doesn't know how to throw a fight. If she didn't owe Yazhu a blood debt and make a passable bodyguard/living pillow, the mountain master might be a fair deal more harsh with her.

Yazhu goes by female pronouns because that's how 'she' set the trap that earned her position. She's used to it and enjoys the mannerisms..but the female pronouns are not an indication of her gender. Merely who she introduces herself and behaves.~
