Yumi_Himura

(Please note that this backstory is not a must for playing with me, just a little bit of information about her main scenario. If you wish to use it, we can while if not we can make something together instead.) A long time ago, before the world was split into 3 parts, mortals, spirits and demons lived under the gentle rule of the gods in a single, harmonious balance. However, the greed of humanity drove the demons and spirits to hide away, fearing that their power would be used for terrible purposes. The gods, seeing this in their subjects, then split the world into 3, the world of mortals that you know, along with the world spirits and the world of demons. The gods then concealed themselves from the 3 worlds entirely, choosing to no longer involve themselves in the affairs of their creations now that they were all seperated. However, some spirits and demons find cracks in the barriers seperating the worlds and cross over, the spirits benevolent and the demons, remembering the cruelty of humanity, became hateful and viscious. To this day, you may occasionally find a demon seeking revenge or a spirit seeking to lend it's aid in the mortal world and this, my dear reader, is where Yumi comes into the story. Yumi is a young demon, by demon standards anyway, they live a long time, who possesses an affinity for ice. She is considered rare among demon kind for this fact and even rarer still that she bears no grudge against humanity, only curiosity. Finding a crack in the barrier seperating her world from the mortal world, she crossed over seeking to learn more about those she had always been warned to stay away from should she ever end up in the same world as one. After all, the innocence of youth makes one do crazy things, right? Still she was undeterred by these warnings. Once in the mortal world, Yumi took on the guise of a human, which for her type of demon, merely boilded down to hiding her single horn and changing her skin tone from icy blue to a more human colour. An easy enough task for most demons to perform. She quickly found that, though her disguise did help her blend in, her fantasies about what she might find or who might see through her concealment were quickly put to rest when... no one even thought demons existed anymore. Even the spirits she encountered were scepticle of her true self, most thinking the demons had long since stopped crossing over to the mortal world. This greatly saddened her. To think her entire species could just be forgotten! And yet, there are still those who remember. Those who can see the truth of demons and spirits alike. These are mostly the more magically inclined races in the mortal world, though a select few humans still possess this ability as well, despite their technological advancements making them less capable and more scepticle of anything supernatural. It was Yumi's first encounter with one such human that changed her view of them forever. Now she's trapped within a small stone tower room, talismans warding against her escape and preventing her from lashing out when her captors visit her for the brief amount of care they provide before isolating her once more. Yet, why did they lock her away you might be wondering? A good question indeed. You see, the former reasons for Yumi to be considered rare might still apply, however there is a much greater reason as to why. While all ice demons may be capable of manipulating and creating ice, freezing something with a mere gaze or gentle touch, Yumi is also capable of creating precious stones and minerals from her tears. Not by choice mind you, it simply happens. What is formed is random, though mostly shaped by her emotional attachment to what caused her to cry. The greater the attachment, the rarer the item that forms. If she has no attachment at all, you'd be lucky to even get gold, never mind opals or diamonds. Yes, this is the reason she was captured. For her ability to create riches by crying. This is also an ability only shared by 3 other demons, though each has their own method of creating these items. When Yumi saw the humans mistreating another person, Yumi became rather emotional and tried to step in. However, she didn't know that the wrong-doers could see what she was and, when they spotted the shining jewels falling from her face, decided they would make their millions by abusing this gift of hers. Thus, she wound up their slave, forced to cry or, if she refused, watch innocents be beaten until she gave in. Yumi has a strong moral compass that tells her what is right or wrong and as such, usually can't just stand by and watch someone be mistreated if she can do something about it. Yet, how could a demon that can freeze you with a glance be captured in the first place? As I said, some humans still possess supernatural capability and to Yumi, this was unexpected after her dealings with mortals thus far. She'd come to expect them to be incapable now and thus was caught off guard and restrained before she could even make a snowflake. Yes, the innocence of youth comes with a great deal of naivety as well. Something that proved fatal for the poor girl this time.
So, now you know how she got to where she is in that image, why don't I tell you some more about Yumi and her demon brethren? I'll start with demons as a whole. You see, demons aren't as big and scary as you might think. Well, not all of them anyway. Sure you have big orgre types and even the dreaded Oni, but you also have cute a fluffy demons that resemble rabbits, demons that look like birds, demons that look like they could pass as human even! Yumi being of that latter type for the most part. They have a similar society to that of humansm only they still live in a more feudal society with lords and noble rulers watching over the weaker demons. Yes, they are run by a power rules structure, but only because otherwise you'd have those with power thinking they'd be better fit to rule than those that actually do. As things are, those with power are usually also the oldest and wisest demons, so they are also the most fit to rule. Yumi is fairly weak by comparison and for reference, she could flash freeze New York in under 2 seconds without tiring herself. Such is the power of an ice demon's ability to manipulate ice. Mind you, this would be harder if humans still had an affinity for the supernatural. Demons generally respect authority and avoid conflict with their own kind when they can, only really seeing humans or mortals that get along with humans as anything to get bent out of shape over. They do mostly have short tempers though, so that can change fairly easily. Scuffles take place all the time between demons despite their aversion to fighting each other and they can sometimes get very out of hand. One demon once got angry enough that they destroyed the local lords palace by simple accident. Something you can likely tell angered the local lord and thus, the conflict spiralled out of control from there with more and more demons getting involved to try and calm the situation, yet only making it worse. Ymui's grandmother is the one who ultimately settled things by simply freezing the rest in place involved until they calmed down. Yet despite all this, most demons agree that they could probably get along with anyone relatively well, so long as that someone didn't do anything to upset any demon too badly anyway. Even humans! Despite their generations long hatred for the species, most demons agree that not all were ever that bad and even think that it could have been possible to coexist in the same world again. Yet there is one major downside to this coexistence hope. Demons are attracted to fresh souls. Long ago, when the worlds were still one, this was fairly easy to control to the point they could even ignore it if they chose. However, after centuries of being away from mortal souls, their kind has developped a much stronger craving for them. Whenever a mortal soul becomes exposed by any means, be it death or supernatural power, nearby demons become unable to restrain themselves from attempting to consume it. Thus if they did manage to have large numbers in the mortal world again, then mortals would likely become extinct due to this soul craze. After all, they'd be incapable of reincarnating after death or passing to the spirit world to become a spirit instead. Yes souls can turn into many different forms once released from mortal bodies. However should the demons consume them all, then they'd be incapable of becoming anything other than a snack. New souls wouldn't be able to form fast enough and eventually, mortals would end up simply dying out, if not killed off first for their souls. This is why demons remain seperated and also why they mostly stopped traveling through the cracks in the world barriers. Mostly, anyway. You still get some that travel through, such as Yumi. A consumed soul will last roughly 1 week within a demon's stomach, providing energy and nutrition the entire time, before simply fading out existence, having been absorbed by the demon's body. Not all demons even know this soul craze happens either. So you might be wondering why any mortal would risk keeping a demon with this risk in place, right? Well, the demon would either need to want to cause harm enough to release the soul, be capable of severing the soul from a living body, or simply be near a recently released soul to enter this state of soul craving. This is usually considered a rare occurance, given that most demons don't have the ability to sever a soul from it's body and those that decide killing is the way to go, well lets just say that vengeful demons are usually dealt with fairly quickly. Thus most don't really care if the demon might eat their soul, if the demon can't get to it.
Ok, I think that's enough for the demons for now. If you want to know more, just ask a question! As for this profile, I'm gonna tell you about Yumi Himura now. Oh? You're wondering why I never mentioned her surname before? Why it isn't in the name at the top of the profile? Simple really. It's just a minor detail. You'll be refering to her as Demon or Yumi anyway, so why bother using it all that much, right? The name means Snow Village and to Yumi's people, it would be read as Yumi from the snowy village, rather than as a last name. So she won't introduce herself with it anyway. All the people from her village share that surname as well, given they are all from the snowy village. Yumi is, as I said earlier, a young demon. Demons standards vary by type though Yumi's type have "young" as being anywhere up to the age of 80, where they become considered either young, if they still look or act like it, or mature if otherwise. By 120, they are all considered to be mature. Yumi has lived for 57 years, though she still looks like the equivalent of a human teenager. This is mostly because her type of demon are known for their youthful beauty and because they live for at least 5 times as long as humans. So she'll live to roughly 350 years old if she's unlucky, or roughly 600 years old if she is lucky enough to reach a venerable age. Possibly even older if she takes good care of herself. Other demons have both longer and shorter lifespans, depending entirely on the type, so this shouldn't be taken as a standard measurement for demons in general, but rather just Yumi and her type. Yumi's appaearance as a demon has her much the same as her human appearance, except as stated before she has a single icicle patterned white horn and icy blue skin. While in her human form, the horn is concealed by her abilities and her skin colour changes to a pale caucasion white. The things that remain the same are her unkempt, upper back length red hair, another rarity for her to have, as most ice demons have white or blue hair, along with her having crimson eyes to match, which oddly isn't all that unusual for ice demons. She stands at 5'1" tall, or 157cm for those who prefer that method, making her rather small compared to what most assume a demon should be. She wears a white kimono at all times with intricate flower patterns on it, though this is simply because she thinks it looks cute. Should it get damaged, she is capable of restoring it fairly easily with her ice. Yes, she can use her ice to mend and restore as well as freeze things. She never wears footware and always keeps a frozen flower she turned into a hair pin in her hair. Even her captors can't take this look from her without freezing for it, being the only time she is able to get around their protective, imprisoning wards when they try to adjust her attire to suit their wants. Something they stopped a while ago. Yumi also has a pair of slightly longer canines among her upper teath, taking the form of small fangs, if you will. While mostly unnocticeable while in her disguised state, they still pack a mean bite and, should they pierce the skin and draw blood, the victim's soul will become untethered from their body and, due to Yumi's soul craze, she will then devour it. Her personality is, or was, rather optimistic and cheerful. Always seeing a bright side to anything and if there wasn't one, she'd make one as best she could. However, now she's enternally lonely, sad and rather angry. Her captivity, which for those wondering, has lasted 5 months so far, has made her change drastically. Something she'll likely take many years to recover from should she be set free. Those who interact with her will often have Yumi refusing to co-operate with them, unless all they seek is her to cry for them. Then she'll go along with it simply to prevent anyone from getting hurt on her behalf. After all, she's still a deeply caring girl no matter what anyone says or does to her. Yumi even refuses to eat on many occasions as well, becoming fragile and physically weaker as a result, though this has been found to be circumventable by forcing a soul into her room, upon which she cannot resist consuming it, or by getting her some churros which Yumi has so far never turned down. Something her captors are fairly confused by, but so long as she eats, it doesn't matter what it is, it'll keep her alive. Proper nutrition or not, she only needs the energy. They also found that putting a dying mortal in her room will prompt a similar, albeit smaller, reaction to that of her soul craze, causing her to resist as much as she can, before simply consuming the entire body and soul once her will gives out to hunger. It isn't just dying beings that cause this, but any that have a weak connection to their soul will cause her to desire them fully. Which includes people that have had their soul leave their body for any reason in the past. A few quick likes and dislikes to help you better know Yumi: Likes: Learning new things. Roses, especially ones that aren't white. Contrary to what most would think, spicy foods are her favourite. The cold. People that are kind to her. People with no alterior motives regarding her. Exploring various places. Snuggles. Potatoes. Sweet foods such as fruit or sweets. Dislikes: Spirits. She's afraid of them. Being tickled. Being treated like a child. She's 57, give her some credit! Being warm and to that extent, heat in general. Being confined. Talismans. Greedy people. Unless they just want food. Crying. Yumi's abilities include the following: (if you wish to know more about any, just ask) Ice Creation Ice Manipulation Ice Restoration, Mending and Healing Sub Zero Preservation Self Disguise Abilities Soul Consumption Precious Material Tears Freezing Glare Freezing Touch Bone Chilling Blizzard Soul Severing Bite Glacial Shattering Instant Thaw Low Level Demon World Magic (Only knows 6 spells of varying power) Demonic Traits Including: Heightened Spiritual Perception Inhhuman Resilience Inhuman Awareness She also has a few glaring weaknesses including: Being warm Her naivety Spiritual Magic Ancient spiritual practices Robotic, or otherwise artificial and mostly metal beings, or beings with such components to their bodies
Here I'll be listing people that Yumi has met and, for better or worse, how their relations have been so far. (You'll have to actually want to be listed though) 1: Zephyr_Aerias showed their good nature by deciding that no demon should be without a friend, even Yumi. During the encounter, the exchanged keepsakes, Yumi giving a shining gemstone she filled with a secret summoning spell of her people nad receiving a pendant filled with some of Zephyr's wind spirit magic. Now they'll always be close to each other!
As much as it may seem like magic, Yumi's ice demon abilities are actually just a natural ability, nothing magical at all. So for those wondering what her spells do consist of, this is the right section for you. The number next to each spell's name will indicate it's power level according to demon world spell tiers. The higher the namber, the more powerful the spell is. 1: Devil's Thunder (4), A spell with a lightning attribute, this causes the sky to become covered in thick black clouds that continuously release bolts of demon world lightning. This lightning is purple in colour and is much hotter than lightning from the mortal world. A single strike is enough to fry a bear, yet it is considered non-lethal. The spell however does not cause lightning strikes, as the name suggests, it's the thunder that is the focus. Once formed, the clouds descend on the target, cascading into and around their body with crushing force and the stunning strikes of the lightning that, while non-lethal, will hurt like heck. Essentially, it is a spell to trap the target in a large lightning cloud that is dense enough to slam into their body as it shifts about. 2: Gigante (5), A spell where the user states the name of the spell after deciding on a casting area. The area determines who is affected by it and, all within the radius will become up to 20 times larger. The default is 4 times, though stating a number after the spell name will change how big they become. 1 and 2 both equal double size, while any other number, including decimals, will multiply by that amount. Numbers less than 1 will add that percentage instead of multiplying. 0.4 would be 40%. Stating Gigante Reverse however will instead cause those in the casting zone to shrink by the amount specified, down to 3-6 inches, depending on the original size of those caught in the spell. The larger they were the taller they end up. 3: Light (2), A spell that is usually not associated with demon world magic capability given it's name, this spell serves 2 purposes. The first is to light an area while the second is to heal minor injuries. At best, it can be used to heal scrapes, scratches, bruises or to set a broken bone. It wont fix the break mind you. It generally can't save a life, but is perfect for first aid. This spell's name is also taken by a spirit world and a mortal world spell, each with different effects. 4: Icicle (3), While ice demons may not need magic to create the same effect as this spell, being able to create the effect flexibly does sometimes help. The spell causes ice to form wherever the caster desires in whatever shape they desire and then act how they desire it to upon it's formation completing. However, unlike an ice demon's ice, the spell's version cannot be controlled after forming. It forms with a single order and enacts it, then is left to melt away. The user must be able to see where the ice is forming for it to form there. 5: Fall Block(2), You may be familiar with Feather Fall or other similar spells, right? Well, think of those when thinking of this. It causes those in the casting area to fall slower, to a point where they can actually walk in the air, albeit while still descending, as if there were blocks under their feet. One cannot get hurt from falling while under the spell's effects. 6: Ice Demon's Flame (9), The most hidden and sacred of magic passed down through Yumi's people, every ice demon is taught how to perform this from a young age. The Snowy Village residents that aren't ice demons are also allowed to learn it, though most are incapable. The spell is in complete opposition to the nature of the ice demon, being one of fire, an area as large as the eye can see is covered in pale blue flames that burn as cold as the ice in the Snowy Village. Anything touched by the flame is frozen instantly down to it's very core, though only the parts that are touched are affected. The flames don't just freeze however, they also burn. You will be within a fire that will both turn you to ash and ice at the same time, leaving your chared remains encased in unmelting ice forever more, or until an ice demon breaks it. The spell is among the 3 most dangerous in the demon world, though isn't even in the top level of power. More to learn as she progresses.

Never/Dislike While Yumi cannot by herself, nor does she have ways to reform the dead, if you have methods of your own you wish to employ, then go right ahead. However, those that have reformed will draw her hunger as their soul has a weaker connection to their body.

Never/Dislike Yumi is capable of storing you inside her, though her body will be attempting to digest you body and soul regardless. So for her, it's more keeping her meal alive or preserved inside to extend it's time in there, or releasing them before they're digested to cause this. She's hard to actually digest you know that, right? So you'd be better off trying this on her. Then again, no one said keeping her would be easy if you do.

Never/Dislike Only method Yumi will perform in any scenario, including soul vore stuff. She will swallow it if it's not already inside her. However, other methods are available if you want to do them to her, just be sure to make it known which you want or I'll assume you're gonna do this. (Vore room exception, do as you please there, within reason.)

Never/Dislike Much like unbirth, you'd have to somehow put yourself in there, or have some accident that resulted in it occurring for Yumi to have you in her like that.If you want to put her in there, expect her to make it very cold inside. Then remember to make it tight and constricting, or she'll only thrash about in what I'd assume to be an unpleasant way.

Never/Dislike She has no tail, but I do really enjoy this type of thing. I mean, there are plenty of demon types that do it as well, so it's not like she's unused to being a target for it either!

Never/Dislike By technicality Yumi is designed for this, though it's not a primary focus of mine. As such, not needed to happen. While yes, Yumi does have a soul, it isn't a mortal soul, it's a demon soul. Thus it's rules work slightly differently. You can't digest it, but can contain it.

Never/Dislike I mean, she can technically do this, but it's not a thing I'll do to others, unless they count being frozen or digested. If they wish to do it to me, I'll have to limit what you do to height changes and apply/removing HER disguise to her. I don't mind what you do to yourself at all.

Never/Dislike Yumi's body functions so that anything she eats fits inside her stomach, regardless of it's size before being eaten. To that extent, it must be of a size she can eat it for this to apply. If you're swallowed by her, you'll find yourself in her stomach at a size you'll have plenty of room to move about in there, though you'd still actually be full size and weight. It's merely that her stomach seems much bigger inside than out.I do enjoy this, but it's your call if you want to have your character utilize this sort of thing or not.

Never/Dislike I do enjoy it when people stop by with an intent to make the cute, innocent demon fall for them or to play the knight in shining armour trope hoping to win her heart. Among other tropes that can fit into this kind of thing as well.
