When she was offered the job for the position of school nurse and special subjects teacher at this private academy, Yumiko thought it was too good to be true. The monthly salary they offered her was well above what an average first-year teacher would be offered. The headmaster being the mother of an old classmate of hers from high school made the offer even harder to refuse. Sure she had to relocate but the city she moved to was nice; a tolerant community that didn't stare nor draw too much attention to certain abnormal parts of her.

Yumiko's good fortune really did beg the question of when would the other shoe drop? When will her seeming good fortune take a turn for the worst? When would her new job in her chosen career path prove to be some elaborate and clever experiment? When will her neighbors prove to be secretly judgmental people that brought her up in conversation more times than was healthy? Would her students prove to be problem children that required special care? The answer to all of these questions was a big, shocking "no".

It was still too good to be true but she wouldn't look for trouble. If something negative did come up, she would deal with it then. For the time being, she would enjoy this good fortune for as long as she possibly could. She hoped for a long and fulfilling career as a school nurse~
