Zackaree Olivander
Eighteen years ago, a small family of four was graced with one last child, a boy. They named him "Zackaree", although his mother always called him "Zee"- she had been determined that his would be her final child. And according to her wishes, he was. They were sweet parents, kind and caring; but far too forgiving, far too lenient. The children were known around the small suburb they lived in to be troublemakers. The eldest had always been the thinker, the planner. The middle the brute strength. And the youngest? This "Zee"? Well, he was given the very important job of stealth to pull off their little heists. Breaking into homes, selling items on the black market. By the time Zackaree had hit ten these three were infamous around the town.
Of course, horror strikes at some point or another in everyone's life. Tragedy and tears. The three were caught on a heist. A simple one, of course: break into the home, steal the valuables, disappear. Things didn't turn out as simply when the family came home sooner than they had suspected. A family of six reindeer. The middle was caught first- knocked unconscious by a single slam to the face from the hooves of the father. Next to go down was the eldest, caught trying to make his way out the second story window. That just left the little trickster himself. The boy had been smart the second the door downstairs had opened- he hadn't revealed himself. And it wasn't long before the boy got the chance to slip away.
Knowing his brothers would confess and more than likely blame everything on him, Zackaree ran. He ran until his legs cried out in exhaustion, his eyes waters and his very being was strained from the effort. He didn't recognize where he was. But, he was far away from where he had to be, so the boy relaxed. High in a tree the dog curled up, ironically, Zack always liked high places. For a night he slept there before his continued his trek.
Age eighteen, three years after the failed heist, Zackaree was doing the only thing he still knew how to do: lie, cheat and steal to get his way. The boy is a pickpocket by nature, he's honed his skills enough that even at this age he's reached a record of stealing more than twenty three wallets in a single day. This boy can always be found with a smile on his face, but he's always willing to snarl and run. Distrustful and careful. Devious and playful. He never stays in one place long.
Maybe one day you'll have the misfortune of meeting the poor lad.
