Zhaleh

It's pretty much common knowledge that most lamia are natural-born predators, although there are exceptions. Zhaleh could have been one such exception, and it seemed fate even wished her to be one, yet she refused. Born with faded, white eyes, Zhaleh wasn't in for an easy life. You see, this lamia was born blind, never knowing or seeing any sight. As previously mentioned, however, Zhaleh's stubborn personality led to her down the path of overcoming the obstacles that life had placed afront her. With no sight, the lamia relied solely on sound alone in order to move, interact, and most importantly, hunt. While she is far from the most efficient huntress, her keen sense of hearing allowed her to stay alive and to some extent, thrive. The combination of Zhaleh's stubborn personality and inflated view of herself led her down yet another path. Feeling that others still looked upon her as being weak, never to live up to her self-imposed expections, Zhaleh set off to prove her strength against people who could defend themselves.

No longer did Zhaleh hunt only frail, defenseless merchants and travellers. She fancied bigger and stronger prey; those who she could fight and prove herself as capable of a high status, despite her natural setback. Donning four blades and a custom-made set of armor obtained through questionable methods, Zhaleh worked her way up an entirely new food chain. Starting off small, she challenged only the weakest of knights, taking them down in what was literally a blind frenzy, albeit with some grace. Pushing her sense of hearing to its maximum, Zhaleh strives to become powerful and feared, despite her ailment in order to prove to herself that not even the lack of one of her key senses will stop her from being what she was made to be; a predator.
