Ziusudra was born into a peaceful village deep in a remote forest and had a happy childhood. She would spend her days exploring caves and tunnels with her friends inside the safe area. The safe area was a place where the forest itself protected the fairies and ward off potential threats. After a few years of they were starting to run out of places to explore and began venturing outside of the safe. Even outside of the safe area wasn't very dangerous as the fairies had lived in the forest for so long that even the wild life left them alone. However the village elders were less than pleased when word slipped out about their actions.

 Ziusudra didn't understand why the elders were so concerned with her actions. Even if something did happen to her or her friends they were basically immortal anyway right? The elders acknowledged the point, but explained to her that they were not just risking their own safety. Everyone in town could be at risk if they were seen by another species. Furthermore, there were far worse things than in the world. For immortal creatures such as themselves they could be subjected to an eternity of suffering and imprisonment if they got caught. They went on to tell her about the history of her kind and how the other species sold, ate and used them for pleasure.

 The stories shook Ziusudra and she didn't do much for a couple of days. However, even after all she was told she remained undeterred and was ready to resume exploring. Her friends however did not share her sentiment and instead tried to stop Ziusudra! When it became clear that neither side would yield on the matter Ziusudra decided to continue alone. Her friends however fearful of the consequences of Ziusudra actions inform the elders. That night when Ziusudra returned she was met again by the elders. With sorrow in their voice they informed her that for the sake of the village the next time she leaves the town she would not be permitted to return.

 They had originally hoped that this would begin Ziusudra to her senses, but instead it ignited a fire deep within her. For the next five years Ziusudra went through the motions of life planning her departure. Learning anything she could about the world in their archives... Which wasn't much. She would still hang out with her friends because despite what they had done to her she wasn't the kind of person to hold something against someone for more than a few days no matter how bad it was. However, most of her time was spent planning or imagining her big adventure!

 As if by fate a nomadic fairy stumbled upon their small town a few weeks later! For most towns this wouldn't be a big deal, but this was the first outsider in over two thousand years! Everyone in town was in a panic as they didn't know what to do! It didn't take long before rumors started to circulate around town. Was he followed here by one of the larger species! Or maybe he is working for them to track down other fairies! Never in her life had she seen the town so tense, but none of that mattered to her. She was only interested in what amazing things this man had seen or done outside of the forest.

 During the few days that he was in town Ziusudra was brimming with curiosity stalked the ma like his shadow. Which wasn't helping ease the tension in the town... Question poured out of Ziusudra's mouth like a waterfall threatening to drown the poor man. To the man's credit he answered as many as he could, since she would barely let him finish before asking another. Eventually he got Ziusudra to calm down long enough for him to tell her a few stories... Not without interruption, but it was as good as it would get. Ziusudra on other hand listened to his stories completely enthralled be the mans tale trying so desperately to picture what he was describing to her. Those few days he was there were the most exciting days of her life and seemed to pass in the blink of an eye.

 The fairy left town the next morning to continue his journey and the town couldn't have been happier. However, he didn't leave before giving Ziusudra the final push she needed. Steeling herself Ziusudra flew home and grabbed her things and was ready to go in a flash. As she opened the door she noticed her friends were outside. Though they were not there to stop her, and as much as Ziusudra wanted it they were not there to join her either. They said their farewells and Ziusudra quickly flew off before someone tried to stop her.

 With very little knowledge of the world this naive fairy little set off to explore the world.
