Zultanite

Zultanite was once a fabled war hero for the gem Homeworld, having fought valiantly in several different wars and battlefields throughout the many centuries of her life. She was often regarded as one of the strongest gem warriors, and as a result of such became one of the most deadly weapons on the battlefield. While rather clumsy, timid, and awkward by nature, Zultanite's only ability made her a force to be reckoned with, as even so much as touching a weapon would give her complete mastery at how to wield and use it to its full potential, giving her the title of the weapon master. Unfortunately, these powers came at a cost, making them rather risky in most situations. Any time she picked up a weapon, her emotions and personality would drastically shift until she put it down again, and if that weapon was the weapon of another gem, she would channel the personality of its owner. In the last war Zultanite took part in, the opposing side managed to figure out that Zultanite's power came from her current weapon, and managed to trick her into wielding the weapon of a very unstable gem, causing her mind to snap and murder friend and foe alike until it was pried out of her grasp. Mortified at what she had done, Zultanite took her exile without complaint, setting off to make a new life for herself in an attempt to hide from the shameful mistakes of her past.

Personality wise, Zultanite is a bit of a strange case. By default she's rather shy and awkward, often stuttering and mumbling when she has to talk to other people. Her lack of social skills and memories of her mistake tend to weigh on her self confidence, to the point where she's surprised if anyone actually seems to take an interest in her. She tends to believe that she exists as she does as some sort of handicap of what she could be, to the point where she refers to her alternate personalities as another person entirely, someone much more competent and likable than she ever could be. However, every weapon she picks up has a very different effect on her emotional state, making her rather uneasy about clutching a weapon she knows little about. It only takes one small mistake to repeat what drove her away from her original home.

As of late, Zultanite took shelter on Earth where she had heard several other gems had been hiding out, in case anyone would be familiar to her. No one was, though she did manage to make a friend by the name of Bixbite, who happily showed Zultanite another side of life that she had never seen before. Since hanging out with her new friend, Zultanite slowly began to develop the habit of eating, taking Bixbite's advice to try everything at least once, until it became a bit of an addiction. Although her new habits definitely show, she's not too worried about it due to the support Bixbite has given her, and the two got close enough to each other that they actually managed to form their own fusion, Mel_Tourmaline.


Her stomach is pretty too.

Zultanite has also began a rather intimate relationship with Gemstone_Citrine, which mostly involves devouring the smaller gem. Citrine loves being eaten by her, and Zultanite loves eating, so they have a strange, rather loving symbiotic relationship, that's slowly beginning to grow and develop over time.
