What? A lamia living with humans? And... And providing goods?! ... That is quite unusual here!
Well... what if it isn't unusual?
Especially with the way people look at lamias! Whom they see them as nothing more than meat swallowers.
Not to mention when you consider a world of voreophiles that just wants to be swallowed alive by these graceful creatures.
While that is perfectly fine that people do that in their own private little world... and its within their own right.
But this is where we get into a bit of a problem. Due to that not all lamias are dedicated meat eaters or 'sleeping bags' as few would call them and thus they are constantly pressured into eating others by voreophiles.
Some lamias seek to coexist with the humans without the fear of being hunted or have to worry about yawning at the wrong place. Oh sure it can be fun for the occasional wiggly meal but it does feel awkward for these lamias to just swallow a person like that.
But as long both parties are okay with it, it's all good! Let them enjoy the act of predator and prey. But it does have to be consensual between both the lamia and her *ahem* food. Or else that'd be like breaking a important rule in this city, the City where humans and monsters coexist.
The rules are pretty strict on how the act of vore commenses especially when one considers the size of lamias compared to humans, for now all lamias are required to carry a special pill that makes their stomach acids nullified or at least regurgitate those within their stomachs. And some huge ones needs to go through screening to live within the laws of the cities... Yes the humans are well prepared with the world of predators coexisting with the humans. Sort of a given when there is a need for survival.
On that same token, humans are not allowed to hunt down lamias or to provoke their predatory instincs, should the lamia swallow a living being against their will or have their instincs provoked to an extreme.
This is how Anita lives amongst the humans, well within the city limits. Owning a simple two story house within the city.
With a bedroom upstairs and plenty of room downstairs Anita has opened up a small tea shop which is more like a home with products on shelves and a cashier waiting to accept cash, because of this the shop is a bit of a unknown shop to the common folk.
The shop features many of the hard to find teas along with common teas for sale, for those looking for some japanese gifts are welcomed to give the shop a visit since Anita does have some extra goods here and there.
At the current time she is the only worker for her shop, but at the same time she is living in the upstares.
When Anita is not working she does have a habit of loafing around because while the town does have laws and regulations on lamias, there are still people who are not comfortable with having a lamia present.
So thus Anita has gotten this habit of being a lazy lamia when at home alone!
Tho she does like to coil up things... especially things she finds cute!
