Gilles

This cocky black-and-white gryphon has a glimmer in his eye and spring in his step. Standing just over six feet high at the shoulder, he's a quarter ton of warm, fluffy non-anthro goodness. His body is covered in a black-and-white blotchy color pattern, and while he's mostly black, the white stands out well on him. One of his eyes falls in a white splotch which runs down his cheek and over his right shoulder and part of his chest; others appear as socks on his rear feet, his white eartufts, and some other swaths of white on his wings and back.

His fur is quite luxuriant and is a good four inches long; the fibers are fine, but despite how easy it seems to be to pick up burrs and dirt he manages to keep himself mostly rid of such. As a result, his fur is very soft and feels quite warm. His feathers are not quite as fluffy, but still are quite soft relative to those of many birds and, while he isn't vain, he does take pride in his appearance.

He isn't the strongest or most muscular of beasts; indeed, he's got a little bit of fat under his feathers, though he is far from obese, simply a bit overweight. He's strong enough, though, and certainly active; he simply enjoys eating a bit too much for his own good.

Over the years he's picked up more than a few tricks. While most of them are fairly minor and not really worth noting, he learned long ago a small bit of fairly useful magic. He has the ability to appear anywhere that his blotches match a pattern of light and shadow, white and black. Due to the blotch on his chest, this allows him to descend from a full moon, among other things. This ability is seldom used for hunting, however; it is mostly used to amuse himself and others.

Bordering on middle-aged, this gryphon has led a life he mostly enjoys. Fairly carefree and laid-back, he's mostly led his life living from meal to meal, never settling down, always off chasing the next new thing. He enjoys nice company over that which is nice to look at, but he's quite happy to settle for even less than nice company, being fairly gregarious and outspoken. He's never really seen much value in settling down with one person, and as such has had a long string of partners, really mostly casual flings. That said, he is somewhat picky in who he'll choose; he feels that some creatures are simply more interesting than others, and as such he spends the majority of his time pursuing those he considers to be interesting. Appearance is not enough for this gryphon, though it isn't depth that he's after; he simply wants some more good memories.

Beyond his carefree exterior lies his carefree interior. While this seems like it would be a wonderful addition, this is not so. Gilles is not about being nice or friendly; he's about having fun. This has been taken to an extreme in this gryphon, however, to the point where ultimately, the only being he truly cares about is himself. He's a very good actor, and can seem to really like someone, but on the inside he knows they're just another person he's using to satisfy his needs, whatever they may be.

It is this attitude which lead him to his voracious habits. He has always enjoyed food. Years ago, however, he met a dragonness who introduced him to the wonderful eroticism that is eating live prey whole; ever since then, he has been enjoying the occaisional meal at the expense of whoever managed to get into his claws. He loves the feel of prey wriggling down his throat.

Due to his attitude, he's also become a fairly decent actor. He learned how to pretend to care about others when he learned that total honesty about himself was not attractive, and even offputting. As such he keeps up a constant facade of caring about others, and his friendliness is genuine - he likes being around happy people, so he'll often make jokes and act congenial. But in the end, he's doing it for himself, not for the other person. He sometimes uses this talent of his for other ends in order to amuse himself.

This gryphon is open to most things, and can seem superficially friendly as a result. He likes cuddling and snuggling, talking and playing. He enjoys a great many things, and is fairly open to things which sound like they may be fun. But it should always be remembered: Gilles is a monster who lives in the woods and eats people when it suits him.

He enjoys playing at rape, or even, perhaps, raping others. While this is not a habit he is very open to sharing, he will at times track down and mate with an unwilling partner, then devour them.

When bored, expect this gryphon to set up various traps and other oddities for his own entertainment, or to toy with people.

He has two lairs: one is a more traditional gryphonic lair, a tunnel or cave in a hill in a wooded area, amongst poplar trees that rather conveniently mirror the patterns on his coat at times. The other lair is an abandoned wizard's tower, which he periodically lures people to in order to do terrible things to them.

((OOC note: I prefer non-anthros to anthros, but don't take that as "I won't RP with anthros"; think of it more as "I really like roleplaying with non-anthros"; I'm perfectly willing to RP with anthro characters. His magical abilities are seldom used in scenes save by partner request.

RP Ideas:

Gilles lures an adventurer or group of adventurers to his tower with rumors of treasure there, then picks them off one by one.

Gilles spies a gryphoness, dragoness, or similar creature near his territory. He decides he wants to breed with them, and tries to seduce them or takes them by force. He may or may not eat them if he thinks they won't give him children/will be too much trouble.

Gilles has set up some sort of trap out in a wooded area; when the hapless victim walks into it, either Gilles goes to collect his prize.

As above, but instead sets them free, earning their gratitude and having them owe him a favor... which of course he didn't really earn, but he's not about to admit that, now is he?

Gilles has a reputation for having magical powers and being able to solve folks' problems... for a price. Gilles grants the favor, but as the cost he requires either that he breed with them (this will generally only apply to avians, dragons, and actual gryphons) or that he has the rights to their body for a day... which means of course he'll fuck them and eat them. Reformation after he devours you is possible by partner request in such a scene, as after all, it isn't much of a favor if the person who gets the favor isn't around to enjoy it.

Gilles has made a deal with someone to send him prey. Most likely, the premise of the scam is that Gilles will give them a free ride. Gilles will, of course, honor the bargain, but demand a ride of his own in return. And of course, as most folk are ungrateful after such treatment and an unsatisfied customer is likely to complain and drive other victims away... well, at least they get another ride, albeit not outside the gryph.

Gilles has a deal with a local alchemist to provide them with alchemical reagents in exchange for them sending him people to "collect" them from him. They might also give "ambigious" directions to the poor, hapless apprentices sent out to collect things from him. Gryphon seed, that's like bird seed, right?

Gilles catches the trail of something and stalks it down and mates with/eats it.

Gilles is waiting in ambush along a trail for someone to come by so he can chase them down and eat them.

Gilles is around his clan and takes a liking to a younger relative (or perhaps even a daughter of his) and decides he wants to claim her as his own mate... and of course, if they don't like this, dinner.

A non-sentient Gilles comes across a sentient female in the woods or otherwise in the wilds and either acts playful towards her or "courts" her. Eventually he ends up tricking her to bend over, or otherwise just manages to disrobe her and puts her in a position where he can climb on top of her and fuck her. He either acts possessive of the girl, refusing to let her return to civilization, or she returns to civilization but keeps returning to the woods to show "daddy" the progress of her belly as he somehow managed to knock her up. He will most likely bring her offerings of dead animals in either case to placate/"feed" her. After she gives birth he can be all nice and cute about their babies. Optionally, he could reveal after the whole thing that he was smart all along and knew exactly what he was doing.
