Another Prolific character

Why? Just why would anyone create a living plushie like Mavia? It's hard to imagine she was born into a body made of synthetic fur and cotton stuffing. Her teeth are as plastic as the glasses. Unreal as her body is, it still feels warm to the touch like a living being. Those she's eaten say the rest of her moves like it's alive too. The years of sitches from living in the Nexus with its rough crowd suggest that whatever Mavia gets into she'll probably be doing it for a long time.

What she mainly does is cause trouble for the unsuspecting. As long as she holds still, Mavia is indistinguishable from any other large stuffed animal with alarmingly detailed anatomy. This is handy for gimmicks like selling herself at antique shops and Halloween night is her playground. There's so many things to try when your dismembered parts can still feel & move. More than once she's found her way into an attic for a 'stay at your home' vacation. Usually while the authorities are asking about her. Despite the mischief and voreacious appetites, Mavia is mostly harmless. Just keep her away from any scissors and open flames.

Maiva honesly wants to be a real predator. The trouble is once she gets the prey down, the easy part, her body doesn't know what to do next. There's no acid. No magical absorption. They don't even suffocate, though it can get hot. Mavia eventually has to let her would-be victims go free, or they escape. Despite repeated failures to digest anyone the bunny still tries. People she decides are favorite prey can expect to be ambushed regularly and spend otherwise perfectly productive days inside a mad hare who's absolutely certain this time she'll gurgle them into fat. Or maybe fluff.

She's really not a childsafe toy...
