A confident adventurer, Maya has sworn to fight evil with her bare hands. A monk, trained in unarmed arts, she often heads off straight into danger. And that's before she even leaves town... Half of her time is spent paying off debts to the local tavern for local damages, and half of her time is spent being sent into the woods to hunt whatever beasts or evil she can. It'd be wiser to go with a party, but then Maya would have to split the reward, and her pocket can't afford that!

Maya's confidence is often her downfall as she runs into preds. Sometimes she bites off more than she can chew due to their sheer strength. Sometimes they are just resistant to her blows. A lot of the time she's gullible enough to fall for their words.

Of course, that's in the field. In town, Maya's guard is virtually non existant. Anyone who would show her kindness is a pretty alright person. Someone who would buy her a drink? Well... she shouldn't say yes to following the nefarious person to the backroom of the inn, but she won't exactly say no.

Edit: Recent RP's have revealed despite her reckless bravery, Maya has a near paralyzing fear of insects and spiders, and is pretty powerless against them.
