An human girl who lives in a village close to the Grasslands, where Nagas and other creatures live. Shinku and Serpis are close friends.

Personality:

Friendly, kind, enthusiastic, naive, trusting. She is used to be around non-humans, and feels comfortable around Nagas, since her best friend is one.

She is not stupid, but has an habit to trust everyone she meets unless she is given reason to doubt them, which has gotten her eaten a couple of times.

However, her friend Serpis is usually there to save her from danger.
She has gotten used to being swallowed whole by Serpis. It was a little awkward for her, at first, but nowadays she doesn't dislike it, and willingly offers herself to her friend when she wants to feel closer to her.

Abilities:

* As an human, her physical strength is rather low, compared to other species.

*Since she was eaten and spit out by Serpis, her senses have heightened a little, for some reason. She can see in darkness pretty well, and she can recognize people by their smell, just like some Nagas do. Improved smell also means that she is more vulnerable against scent based traps and drugs that are inhaled, and has trouble resisting things that smell nice. It is not sure what is causing her senses to improve, even though Shinku suspects that she is no longer completely human. Perhaps her body absorbed some of Serpis's when she was eaten?

*She belongs to a lineage of magic users from a very far land, so she has some magical power. However, she is not very skilled, so she can't cast spells on her own.She does have a natural affinity to all kinds of magic, and is very sensitive to them. For example, telepaths would have an easier time contacting her than with other people.

*She stores her spells in paper-made magical cards (charms), which need to be prepared before they can be used. It takes about an hour to prepare a low-level spell.

*Currently,the only two spells she knows are low-level 'Fire' and 'Impact' spells:

Fire: Creates a small flame, enough to lit a candle or bring a little light to a room.

Impact: Slightly pushes back any physical object or person Shinku targets.

The spells can be useful for intimidating weaker predators, but she often forgets preparing them before going out. If she runs out of magic cards or she forgets to bring them with her, her chances to defend herself from predators are pretty bad.

Shinku used to live in the Human Capital when she was younger. Her parents taught her a little magic, teaching her how to use magic charms made with paper. However, when she began attending to a Magic Academy, she was unable to cast almost any spell, and therefore, was unable to enter to the more advanced classes. While she was there, her parents had an accident and died. Shinku decided to go back home, and was not able to graduate as a Sorceress.

One day, some years later, she went on a trip to the beach, away from the Human Capital, where she had spent most of her life. There, she met a Naga (Serpis) who tried to eat her.

Lots of things happened, but, in the end, Shinku and the Naga became good friends, and Shinku decided to move to where her friend lived, in the Grasslands. Since the human girl couldn't live in the wilderness, she acquired a house on a village close to her friend's lair.

Shinku goes to visit her friend every now and then, but sometimes, she gets lost on her way home.
