The fae are a rare, ancient species, one entwined with the very foundations of magic, able to wield the power and knowledge of the arcane like no other species could. They are proud and crafty species, often utilizing trickery and misdirection as opposed to simply lying... as while they can lie, they see it as beneath them. While they have always had fairly low numbers, in the recent thousand years, the population has seemed to take a steep decline, along with their homeland being obscured by thick, enchanted mists. In addition, the species have become weaker, still as intelligent as ever... but unable to utilize as much power as they once could. It is unknown what exactly caused this, as the fae will not speak of it lightly, and keep to themselves, the few that remain scattered like dust on the wind.

Vilo is one of these fae, roaming the world, generally exploring all he can. He is a bit less distant and proud than the stereotypical fae, but those traits are certainly prominent at times, the fae seems easygoing... though, understandably, tends to avoid most mortals, more out of a preference for the company of other immortals, likely due to the simple fact that Vilo, being over 3,000 years old, would outlive any mortal company by a very long time... and while 3,000 years is a long time to grow accustomed to such things, it doesn't make the death of a friend any less desirable.

Vilo has lengthy, grey hair, pale skin, along with slender wings akin to those of a dragonfly. His hands, forearms, feet, and lower legs are covered in a dark-green chitin, pointing at a more insectoid appearance for fae. While he does occasionally use his magic to grow himself to around five feet, he generally lingers at a size of two and a half inches, Vilo being a bit short, even among the fae.

He spends a great deal of his time exploring, seeming to be searching for something, or perhaps simply trying to occupy his eternal life. His grasp on magic is immense, and while the power of the fae has diminished in recent centuries, they still possess their immense knowledge of the workings of magic, along with a body that has immense energy running through it, particularly his seed, due to the massive magical energy required in the conception of a fae child.
