The Vineyard

There's a part of the Vegas Strip, between the flashier casinos and hotels bathing Paradise Nevada in a gilded glow that you might not notice at first glance. It's out of the way, understated, with darker, understated colors and a grapevine motif crawling around the door. It's smaller, too, overshadowed by the glitz and grandeur of its larger, flashier neighbors. There's no flashing lights around this casino's name, only the large, carved, block relief letters proclamating this establishment "The Vineyard". It's not well known, and not found on any map of the strip, but those who do talk about it in whispered rumors. Some of them say that inside, you can find your deepest desire.

Inside, the atmosphere is dimmer, smokier somehow, despite the well lit interior. The clientele is different, too; there's something… off about them that you can't place. The bar is well stocked, and there's drinks on the menu you've never heard of before, written in a script that swirls in a way that gives you a headache to focus on. ...Wasn't that bartender at the blackjack table though? Or Were they at the door? You try to focus but you can't quite remember. You turn and face the bartender, and notice his eyes are dark in a strange way, like looking at red wine through a glass bottle.

"Welcome to the Vinyard," he says, with a smooth voice. "...Why don't you tell me what you're looking for tonight?"
