Backstory
"You're the first people I've met in an age that have piqued my interest... The question is, how long will this last? The answer... never long enough, at least for you."
Y’all know the story: in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and it was good. Blah blah blah.
But did anyone tell you how many OTHER universes He created? Universes He and The Devil fought over, because they all were good…
Well, all but one. There is one universe that both God and The Devil fought over for a short period, but both the Lord of Lords and The Deceiver cleaned their feet of the dust from the universe, leaving it to its eventual demise…
Or so they thought. It turns out that despite the absence of God and The Devil, the universe survived and slowly started to thrive. Life existed of its own accord, born out of the sheer willpower to prove that God and The Devil were wrong… and that they would never have the life the universe created.
However, all that the universe created on its own was not good. It was tainted: even the angels became deprived and tainted with sin. Demons hate their own kinds to the point where wars broke Hell into a land of constant warfare and bloodshed. All other life had no morality whatsoever: everyone sinned, and not because they felt like it… it was because they had to.
One group of demons named the L’togael did not approve of this lifestyle. They were creatures literally born due to the Seven Deadly Sins (Pride, Envy, Sloth, Greed, Wrath, Lust, and Gluttony), infused with the other sinful acts and thoughts of all life. So why did they not approve of such a universe full of sin?
Because the sinful acts people committed were not voluntary. Since it was all that people knew how to act, sin was forced. The L’togael wanted to spread sin and have it be voluntarily invoked by others… so they developed interdimensional travel. However, despite being able to develop it, it wasn’t until a certain L’togael was born that interdimensional travel was possible for them… or more specifically, for the one L’togael that they sent out to spread sin in their name.
However, even in this sinful world, and even though they themselves were corrupt by their own vulgar desires, the angels opposed the L’togael. Known as the Ordhah, the fallen celestial beings (as they were born from the only sources of light and goodness in the universe) fought against the L’togael, hoping to gain God’s favor and have Him return to lead the universe to an eternity of holiness. Despite the Ordhah’s “holy crusade”, the L’togael kept them at bay for generations.
But the L’togael couldn’t hold off a combined force of demons and Ordhah at the same time. These demons- known as the Edonaq- wanted to have access to the immense power of the Seven Deadly Sins- which were given physical form among the L’togael due to their worship of sin itself- and were willing to ally themselves with the Ordhah, as long as they could take the Seven Deadly Sins and leave the universe once God returned there, so that they can remake their own universe that they could rule on their own.
Before the L’togael were thrown into slavery and oppressed by both the victorious Ordhah and the Edonaq, they managed to send one of their own into an unknown universe, far away from their oppressors, along with Leviathan, the Deadly Sin of Envy… They hoped that if the young L’togael couldn’t return to save them, that he could at least spread the influence of sin throughout other universes and live out their dream of seeing people sin of their own free will.
This L’togael is known as Rowigrath, and he was sent from his people after only 12 years of life. For 14 years, he fought and trained so he could return back to his people and free them from the Ordhah and the Edonaq, along with Leviathan, his teacher and source of power.
However, when he did manage to return to his own universe, he was horrified to discover that the L’togael had given up and allied themselves to the Ordhah and the Edonaq… and they had left him for dead and gone only two years after they sent him away. Upon seeing what he deemed to be “weakness within the L’togael race”, Rowigrath fought to free the other Deadly Sins and sent them to unknown universes, before he fled from his home, wounded both on the outside and the inside. He realized that he was truly an outcast, and a traitor, even though he was the one who was originally betrayed, in a way.
After finally healing from his wounds and the loss of everything he held dear two years later, Rowigrath and Leviathan set out to complete their mission to spread sin throughout every universe, in an attempt to either show the L’togael that their original goal could be obtained… or to draw them to him so he could make them pay for abandoning him and their dreams alongside the Ordhah and the Edonaq.
Would this be a quest for the redemption of the L’togael? Or would this turn out to be a universal war that could eradicate entire races purely for the sake of revenge? Only time will tell… But one day, Rowigrath might step into your universe. Will you be prepared for the changes he and his opponents will inevitably bring?
Notes and RP Ideas
"I find it rather... amusing that you want to learn more about me, when you won't be around long enough to put that knowledge to good use. Is that a threat, you ask? No... just a comment about where we are. After all, everyone that seems to approach me always seems to become food in the end to someone or another!"
-Rowigrath has his own personal mana pool called Moxie that is unlike any form of mana in existence. As such, it cannot be stolen, removed, or used against him in any way, allowing him full control over whatever magical attacks he has in his disposal. However, Rowigrath's magical arsenal is limited to a small amount of magical attacks...
-Rowigrath's magical attacks and skills include the L'togael Zaewa Saech- which allows him to create interdimension portals to travel to other locations or redirect attacks, but only to places he has been to personally- Nazaewa- which is L'togaelese for "Banish", a technique that allows him to banish Leviathan from his body if Rowigrath allows him to possess him. He can also forcibly remove other spirits from other people and himself- and summoning, specifically Summon Leviathan.
-Through Leviathan possessing him, however, Rowigrath has gotten access to many powerful water and ice attacks, as well as immense control over all liquids, just like Leviathan has. However, since Rowigrath is not Leviathan and is not an immortal deity, his skill with these powers are not nearly as potent. Despite that, Rowigrath continues to train with these techniques, and both this training and his naturally high magical power allow him to be a true threat on the battlefield even when by himself.
-Rowigrath absolutely hates the Ordhah and the Edonaq, but he also dislikes most demons and almost all angels, and is prone to attacking them without warning.
-Rowigrath's sword- pictured above- is called Guothor, which can turn into various other weapons due to the power of those Sin Energy-powered orbs near the hilt of the weapon. Depending on how those orbs align, the weapon will change into a new one.
-Finally, Leviathan has his own special hiding place that is called the Daeuzdo Zao, and this link can explain it fully. I've already written too much as it is, really!
