Teena was born in a family of merchants and while she was young, it was assumed that she was going to take over in time, continuing the lineage. But that was not meant to happen, as one day, a fire broke out in the shop. Quickly sweeping through the building, it consumed most of the building and completely trapped her parents. As they screamed to their daugher to run away, she didn't. As if possesed by the dancing flames, she moved fire to the side with a simple swipe of her hand. It allowed her parents to just barely escape.

With her pyromancer talent now fully discovered and the shop irrepairably lost, her parents simply had no better option than to sent her off to a monsatery of the Church of the Sun, place made to nurture the pyromancers and direct their powers to the good cause. In time Teena understood that the parents simply knew they couldn't possibly raise her properly, now that they had to start from complete scratch, in the streets. To this day, she is eternally thankful to them.

Her days in church were full of good memories, even if she missed her house. She made good friends with one of the Holy Mothers, who also served as a parent figure to the girl. But as the time went on, her adventurous spirit made the monastery's wall feel more and more cramped, and as soon as she hit the age of 16, she said the final goodbye to people that raised her and set of into the world as an adventurer.

Her days in monastery helped her nurture her pyromancing powers to a degree, where she can use them consciously and consistently. For counjuring flames she uses a lamp, with oil and some flint, to help her ignite it. It is than used as a source of the fire for her to control.

One moment about her life that you will not hear in the typical story was when she discovered another peculiar ability of hers. During one of the weeks of the fastening, that Church of Sun goes through every year, she went on a trip in the local town. She made friends with one local girl and they spent entire day playing. But physical exhaustion and lack of proper food drove her hunger to uncontrollable levels. Unfortunately, the only thing available to her was her newfound friend... That was the day she first ate somebody. Unfortunately, for the poor girl, to cope with the horrible act, something switched in her head. Something that forever changed her. But one wouldn't be able to tell just by looking or talking with Teena. Even Teena herself does not pay that much mind to that as defensive mechanism from realizing consequences for her actions.




Personality:

Teena is cheerful, friendly and tries to geniunely be helpful. She is the type to cherish friendship, trust people unconiditionally unless proven otherwise and try to fit into any company.
She's also not the one to say no to a loud celebration or a party, often led astray from whatever goal she has at a moment, if there's a local fair or something like that, that catches her eyes.
Knowing the damage a fire can do, she is also very strict to anybody who is irresponsible with fire...

But all of that comes with a twist. Eating one of her few friends due to uncontrollable hunger created a terrifying defensive mechanism... to justify her action, she convinced herself that there's nothing wrong with ocassionally eating people. It does not match her friendliness, cheerfulness... It's not normal for somebody like her to do that, and yet, like some sort of mental block of hypocrisy, when the right mood hits, she may eat you and not think of it as anything special. In fact, with years, she learned to be as playful with it as with anything else.
