Backstory:

Aoife grew up the harsh environment wilderness of one of the struggling colonial frontier expansions of the AWF. When of age, she was recruited and served several years in the local space fleet militia, the Red Comments. Her years of service eventually lead to her being scouted for the regen/Lazarus project; a proposal she accepted.

Aoife became one of the successful subjects of the first-generation of Lazarus/Regen Project. The career change was initially a rocky start. Being a maverick recruit spirit, she was found suited to only one group: the Striped Bulwarks.

She found herself at home in the Peacekeeping force. The force itself was often perceived as an almost arrogant and brash organization. Despite this reputation, they were also respected for their discipline, expert field work, exceptional records of bravery and humanitarian work. Their humanitarian attitude and work would later lead to clashes with fellow organizations that could and would end in bloody conflicts.

Aoife and her unit came in time to notice the AWF's corruption and decline that grew with the passing centuries. From the Founders to even the lowest of civilian, all of society seem to descend into a horrifying spiral of immorality with a growing regard for life.

The training and creation programs became harsher for newer generations of Lazarus candidates. Many of whom were unfortunates like children, pariahs or tankbreds forced into the programs and projects. These and some older Lazarus candidates would partake in their own cruelty against others and each other in revenge.

Many denizens of the AWF, both the top to the bottom of social classes, tried to defy this shift. Which would calumniate into a series of civil wars. The Striped Bulwarks during the civil wars tried their best to stay neutral and focus solely on the protection and safety of civilians, wounded and POWs. A task that became harder as the factions of the civil wars tore apart the AWF to ruins.

Aoife and the Striped Bulwark, despite many casualties, managed to save many mortal and immortal lives. Though they, like many factions, departed from the ruined empire’s galaxies. Aoife herself would retire and go her separate way the Striped Bulwark for life with greener less bloody pastures.
