I’ve been here too long. There’s no one to talk to and I think writing might help me. I have time to kill, so I guess I’ll start from the beginning.

 I was just sitting in a cozy cardboard box I found, watching the going-ons of that strange new place, just barely outside of the window. I’ve spent a lot of time in the alleys and I had never once seen this window of reality before. From what I was able to overhear, the inhabitants called it “The Nexus”, whatever that means. Unfortunately, I would be hard pressed to find a dictionary here in the alleyways to look it up, and I figured I had plenty of time to do so later. I can’t help but wonder, if I had never gotten shy and left, would I still be trapped here? Does the appearance of this window have something to do with why I’m trapped here?
 These people seem to be from some other creation entirely, much different than the realms of Desideriis I know, but they do seem to be very enjoyable people. The other windows have become strange and fragmented, only allowing me to spy glimpses, so I’ve been finding myself watching those in The Nexus more and more. I know it’s rude to spy, but I’ve been trapped here five days. I miss talking with people… I’m so tired of just watching, I want to join them and say hi!

 Did I do something wrong to deserve being isolated like this? If I did, I can’t recall..

 It’s been another day. I’m running out of songs to sing; out of all the little things I can do to distract myself from being trapped in this place! I just feel so horrible alone. Even if it means I can never go back to Desideriis, I would so much rather be trapped in The Nexus and talk to all those people than be trapped here. It wouldn’t be hard, I guess I’ve never belonged anywhere to begin with. An alleycat through and through. But just because I’ve never belonged anywhere doesn’t mean I deserve to be forgotten! Is this punishment for running away?  I’m sorry..

 I think it’s been three more days, I’m starting to lose count.

 My throat hurts so much. I tried screaming at them through the window to see if they could hear me, maybe even save me, but no one heard.. I really want a glass of water, but there’s never any food or drink in here. My throat hurting has also drawn my attention to my new habit of constantly humming, which makes it hurt even more. But there’s something comforting about making sound, even if I’m the only one who can hear it. It’s been a whole week now and I am so sick and tired of feeling like this!! I’m willing to do anything to get out of here at this point, even if it would hurt me, just let me out!

 I hate this. I hate this stupid alleyway I hate this stupid window showing me everything I can’t have I HATE THIS STUPID NOTEBOOK AND PEN I FOUND!! JUST LET ME TOUCH THEM! LET ME BE A PART OF LIFE INSTEAD OF A SPECTATOR!! PLEASE pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease please it just hurts so much… It isn’t helping to write any of these things. I’m done with this garbage

 I saw something I shouldn’t have. I was peeking through some of the other fragmented windows and I saw something dark on Desideriis. It was like a shadow darker than night that didn’t even obscure the light, I just knew it was there when I saw it, and it did something horrifying. I’ve heard of soul hoarders and even seen a few before but this thing was insane. It swept through that village and stole every soul without ever consuming a body. A few adults and young survived, untouched by this monster, but all the others are dead. Their souls can’t even travel back to the tree, it took them! And worse… It saw me, I know it did.

 I’m so scared, I’m shaking so much I can barely write this. I need to get out of here and warn everyone about that thing!! Where is it going! Why is it amassing so much power?! Can we even fight against it?! I need to get out of this stupid place and do something! In case anything happens to me, I’m writing it down in this notebook so that anyone who reads it will know that something is out there… This is bigger than me being trapped. The fate of Desideriis might hang in the balance of this information!! IF YOU’RE READING THIS AND I’M NOT AROUND ANYMORE, YOU MUST TELL EVERYONE YOU CAN!!

 I know that I shouldn’t write in this notebook anymore to express the importance of what I saw happen that day, but it’s been almost two weeks now since I wrote about that thing on Desideriis. All the other windows aside from the Nexus have become fogged up and I can’t see anything through them anymore. I saw a cute mothboy drawing something and I wanted to try drawing him. His name is Milkweed and he’s really fun to watch, but I forgot how terrible I am at drawing. Also drawing with a pen is hard, you can’t erase the lines. I’m not gonna try drawing again while I’m here. I hope one day when I get out, I can color with pencils and markers and paint. Oh, there’s also a girl who’s name is Paint, she’s really nice and really good at drawing too!!

 Oops. Right, sorry, I shouldn’t be writing too much in this now. I’m gonna keep the notebook open to the important page so it’s the first thing people would see when they read it. That’s a promise that I won’t forget. It will always stay open to that page!

 Oh my gosh. This is bad. I completely forgot about this notebook for like two months and I almost forgot about the shadow. I’ve been forgetting a lot of things, it just hurts to remember what I used to have and feels so much better to forget. This is something I would like to forget, but I need to remember. I’ve just been spending all the days watching and trying not to think too much. Thinking hurts.

 Oh yeah i forgot I used to write in this. That was a long time ago Two years? Eurynome wouldnt dress up as anything funny this halloween. Writing kinda hurts my hand so i want to stop
