The (somewhat) proud owner of a playful(?) Chain chomp, this guy has trouble controlling the beast, mostly because he's scared of it. The only thing keeping it from attacking him is the fact that he feeds it, if it doesn't end up feeding itself. Countless times he's tried to keep Chom-Chom from eating someone whole, and countless times he's failed. The thing gives him nightmares, but whenever he tries to let it go, it gives him sad eyes, and he breaks down. Other times, he's too afraid to do so, but this is usually before he fed it. This sets up a love-hate relationship between the two; Howard (known as Howe to his friends) loves the companionship the round black pet gives him, but hates the trouble "Chommie" gives him along with it..
After meeting MatthewKazuel, Howe has started training Chom-Chom not to eat others without permission, as the shapeshifter suggested, but that's not to say he's not still scared of the thing...
Chom-Chom can now speak English, but since he's still learning, it'll be haltingly, with stutters.
